Since 2008, fans have tuned into The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its strong sisterhood of women and the addicting amounts of drama and shade. Every season, the Housewives of Atlanta open the doors to their lives; audiences have followed them as they got married, divorced, or expanded their families as well as their careers.
Over the years, plenty of Housewives have come and gone. It’s what keeps the show fresh. And Atlanta has definitely seen its fair share of faces over the years. As the new season presses forward, here’s a look back at the former RHOA cast members and what they are up to today.
Phaedra Parks
After Phaedra Parks was fired RHOA in 2017, the TV personality eventually appeared on Marriage Boot Camp, alongside her boyfriend, Medina Islam. However, it appears the lessons learned at Boot Camp didn’t pay off.
According to The Sun, the couple has since split. Now, Parks works as a lawyer, mortician, and funeral director.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann
Kim Zolciak-Biermann may no longer be a Real Housewife, but she still maintains a steady presence on Bravo. Her spinoff show, Don’t Be Tardy has aired for eight seasons. The most recent season, which concluded at the end of 2020, followed her family as they traveled across the country in an RV.
Outside of television, Kim stays busy with her multiple businesses. She has a skincare company called Kashmere Kollections, which sells various beauty products, from facial scrubs to hair perfume. She has a makeup line with her daughters called KAB Cosmetics. And she hosts a podcast called, House of Kim.
NeNe Leakes
For many years, NeNe Leakes proved to be one of the most important personalities on the show and many fans were sad to see her go at the end of season 12. Throughout her time on the show, NeNe delivered some of the show’s most hilarious scenes and one-liners. She has also participated in some of the show’s memorable fights.
However, following her exit from the series, Leakes seems to have cut all ties with the show after she accused Bravo of discrimination, calling for fans to boycott the network.
Since leaving, Leakes has gone on to explore other projects. She has spent her retirement focused on entrepreneurship and her retail venture, Swagg Boutique. Leakes has also recently opened The Linnethia Lounge, a nightlife spot in Atlanta described as “the place to see and be seen.”
DeShawn Snow
DeShawn Snow was a founding member of the show, starring in its first season back in 2008. However, she left the show after one season. Nevertheless, Snow has gone on to have quite a successful career.
Following her exit from the show, she divorced her husband and became a successful children’s author with her book series, Lil’ Shawnee. Snow has also kept herself busy by starting a career outside of television, becoming a life coach and a real estate agent too.
Lisa Wu
Fans were introduced to Lisa Wu in the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She left the show after two seasons, but that wasn’t her last time on reality television. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in TV One’s Hollywood Divas.
These days, Lisa focuses on scripted work rather than reality television. According to her IMDb page, she’s acted in a number of roles over the last few years, like London Mitchell’s Christmas and Professor Mack. She also has producer credits on several projects.
Claudia Jordan
Although Claudia Jordan was only on the show for one season, she had some very memorable moments. After Housewives, she appeared on TV One’s The Next: 15, which chronicled six reality stars as they steered their careers away from reality tv.
Jordan is still on television, just in a different capacity. She’s a regular personality on Fox Soul and also Jordan co-hosts Cocktails With Queens alongside Vivica A. Fox, LisaRaye McCoy, and Syleena Johnson. In addition, Jordan has her own talk show Out Loud with Claudia Jordan.
Kim Fields
Fans were amazed to see the former The Facts of Life actor, Kim Fields, joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They looked forward to seeing what Kim would bring to the show. But, unfortunately, it wasn’t a good fit, and Kim struggled to keep up with the show’s catty, fast-paced drama.
Now that she’s no longer on reality television, Kim has gone back to her roots working in film and television. She’s been busy acting and directing several different projects. She also wrote an autobiography called Blessed Life: My Surprising Journey of Joy, Tears, and Tales from Harlem to Hollywood.
Shereé Whitfield
Shereé Whitfield is one of the rare Housewives who have left the show and returned in a full-time capacity. She was on the show through the first four seasons and then returned for seasons 9 and 10. The last time fans saw Whitfield on TV, she was talking about the launch of her athleisure line.
Although fans were eager to get their hands on some She by Shereé joggers, the product unfortunately never formulated. It’s unclear where the business stands today, as there are no products available for sale on the website. Recently, Whitfield has revealed that she and long time boyfriend, Tyrone Gilliams are planning on tying the knot soon.
Shamari DeVoe
In Season 12, Shamari DeVoe joined the cast. Just like her castmate, Kandi Buruss, Shamari is a singer from a 90’s R&B girl group. She’s also married to Ronnie DeVoe from New Edition. Their background in music created an interesting dynamic with Kandi, with sing-offs and unsolicited performance advice creating a couple of laughable moments throughout the season.
Eventually, Shamari left the show after one season. Since then, she’s been busy raising her twin boys and was also featured in Genius: Aretha as a backup singer.
Eva Marcille
Eva Marcille was no stranger to reality tv when she joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Audiences had seen her dominate the competition in America’s Next Top Model. She starred in the short-lived Oxygen series, Girlfriend Confidential: LA. She was also in VH1’s horror-themed competition, Scared Famous.
On Housewives, fans saw Eva marry her longtime partner, Michael Sterling. She even had some memorable feuds with several of her castmates but chose to leave the show to focus on other career opportunities. Today, Eva is an on-air personality for The Rickey Smiley Morning Show. She has also recently launched a jewelry line, called Eva by Eva Marcille.
