Gordon Ramsay’s wife Tana says their four grown-up children have moved back home

In an episode of the Postcards from Midlife podcast with Lorraine Candy and Trish Halpin, the 49-year-old cookbook author shared that they now have a full house, with all their children under one roof. The couple have six children: Megan, 26, twins Jack and Holly, 24, Matilda “Tilly”, 22, Oscar, five, and Jesse, eight months.

“They left home, and they’re all back,” she explained, adding that they left mainly because their London home was being renovated. “They moved out of our house three years ago to do the renovations.”
During the renovations, Megan and Holly lived with friends, while Jack went off “out west”. Only Tilly stayed with her mother and father, along with the younger children, Oscar and Jesse.

“When we finished the project and moved back three weeks ago, everyone had a bedroom,” she added. “They’ve all moved back home. Holly lives in Nottingham, but she’s always coming back to London and obviously wanted a bedroom with her boyfriend [swimmer Adam Peaty].”

Even with the house full, Tana notes that her youngest son, newborn Jesse, can “sleep through the noise,” even with all the chaos that comes with having grown adults in the house.

“Luckily, when someone comes in at three in the morning [and] the dog barks like crazy, the door slams, he sleeps,” she says. “They really just have to revolve around him.”

Unsurprisingly, the busiest room in the Ramsay household is the kitchen, but surprisingly, Tana is in charge of the kitchen instead of celebrity chef Gordon. “Gordon eats anything,” she says. “He’s very easy to cook for. He wants to cook the simplest food at home.”

Gordon is the easiest person to please in the family, however, with Tana noting that their children are “picky” and “demanding” about what they want to eat. “They’re all very fussy. Holly doesn’t eat dairy now. Tilly eats fish but doesn’t eat meat,” she explains.

“They’ve never been like this before, so the little ones are the easiest,” she adds. “All the kids are quite fussy, but I love that.”
