Sunday nights at 9, from January 1999 until June 2007, millions of televisions across the country tuned into HBO to watch one of the greatest television series of all-time, “The Sopranos”. 17 years later fans cannot get enough of the cast and the characters they played.
Over the Memorial Day Weekend one member of the Sopranos cast spent a few days in Central New York taking pictures with fans and signing autographs. If you missed seeing Joseph R. Gannascoli, not to worry, he is coming back. See new dates below.
Actor Joseph R. Gannascoli played the role of Vito Spatafore starting in season 2 of the Sopranos until his character met his untimely demise in season 6. Joe Gannascoli however is alive and well and recently spent the weekend at the Winds of Cold Springs Harbor Marina in Baldwinsville, NY.
Joe Gannascoli, along with Dee Snider and Lenox Lewis, is a brand ambassador for Rocavaka vodka. Gannascoli was in Baldwinsville to sign bottles of Rocavaka, take pictures and share some stories. The actor even played a game or two of pickleball.
Mr. Gannascoli will be spending more time upstate with several bottle signing appearances scheduled for the first week of June. According to social media posts here are some upcoming meet & greet opportunities:
Real life Sopranos spots to visit in NJ
Since its debut 25 years ago, The Sopranos has lived on as a favorite among fans, old and new. While time has changed some of the New Jersey landscape, there’s still plenty of spots that Tony visited, that you can, too.
Holsten’s

Since a refresh was unveiled in October, patrons have been once again able to visit “the booth” where “The Sopranos” wrapped their iconic run.
It’s a classic ice cream parlor, yes, but so much more is on the lunch and dinner menu, as well as baked goods and other treats. The business first opened its doors in 1939 and continued to draw loyal customers.
