The executive producer, who is waiting for the release of Part 2 as much as we are (though for different reasons), has now decided to talk about the finale of the season and how it is a thrilling ride that has left her in tears. As per the Today show, Shonda Rhimes appeared on the chat show and spoke about Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2. While she obviously did not reveal what the end of Part 2 is, she teased how both alluring and unexpected it is. “We’re very secretive about it, but I will say it is sexy and surprising in many ways. And also, I cried at the end; I found it very moving, and I don’t always cry. So I really got into it,” Shonda said.

Part One of Bridgerton Season 3 is adapted from the fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton. It is based on the romantic dynamic between Colin and Penelope, played by Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan. Featuring the first four episodes, the end was about Colin finally confessing love to Penelope, leading to a passionate moment and advice to marry. But there is a twist in the tale, as Colin is unaware that Penelope is also Lady Whistledown, a secret he will likely discover in the second part.
Part 2 of Bridgerton Season 3 will also explore Eloise’s hatred for Penelope, as she knows the secret that Penelope has been hiding.
