‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Part 2 will drop on June 13.
American Netflix series Bridgerton is close to ending its third season as the teaser for its second part was released online on Monday, June 3.
In just two minutes, Netflix tickled another dimension for the fans of Bridgerton and the crowd-favorite couple, Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), as it showed the focus of this part of the story, which would be their quick engagement and Penelope’s hidden identity as the town’s gossip wordsmith, Lady Whistledown.
Lady Whistledown opened the teaser with her iconic greeting “Dearest Gentle Reader,” and showed the excitement of the Bridgerton family as Colin and Penelope announced their engagement.
It was a huge difference from the reaction of the ton like the other most-loved characters Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh), Lady Feathertington (Polly Walker), and Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel). Among the people who also showed second doubts about Colin and Penelope’s engagement was Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) — Colin’s sister, the latter’s best friend, and the one who knows about her being Lady Whistledown.
According to Eloise, her brother Colin deserves to know the truth about Penelope, especially since Lady Whistledown has been a household name among the ton for a very long time. She also said that her brother cannot “possibly” love Penelope unless he knows the truth.
She even threatened to be the one to tell Colin about Penelope’s secret.
Penelope, however, showed her will not to tell her fiancé her true identity because according to her, “Whistledown is power.”
But as the famous saying goes, “Time is the ultimate truth-teller,” Colin will slowly find clues about Penelope’s true identity.
Bridgerton Season 3 Part 1 aired last May 16 and recorded the largest debut in the series’ history after it garnered 41 million views four days after its release. Meanwhile, Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 will hit the screen this June 13 on Netflix.
