Netflix Bridgerton season 3 trailer drops and fans all say the same thing

Streaming service Netflix has just dropped the first trailer for season three of the hit period drama Bridgerton and fans have gone mad. The new season is set to delve into the budding relationship between Colin Bridgerton and Lady Penelope Featherington played by Nicola Coughlin and Luke Newton.

Sparking a huge response on Instagram, it’s safe to say that the trailer has gone down a treat with fans. The new season is rumoured to be the ‘sauciest’ yet and fans cannot wait for the first part to drop.

One fan said: “call in lady whistle because I am DOWN bad for this trailer omg”. Another said: “i am so obsessed with this. bridgerton just keeps getting better and better. what a stunning season it will be”.

Someone else added: “OK REVENGE DRESSSSSSS” while another said: “So Colin never wears a shirt… I’m in”.

Season three will also include plenty of adorable moments between newlyweds Kate and Anthony Bridgerton, the latest instalment is all about Penelope and Colin.

Netflix’s official season three synopsis reads: “Penelope enters Season 3 finally ready to give up her longtime crush on Colin. However, that doesn’t mean she’s done with love. Instead, Penelope has decided it’s time to take a husband — and preferably one who will give her the freedom to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from the prying eyes of her mother and sisters.”

The stunning period drama is filmed across a number of locations in the UK. Namely Bath, London and Surrey. Bridgerton transforms Bath into Regency ‘London’ including Beauford Square and The Abbey Deli – a real-life café on Abbey Street that doubles as the Modiste Dress Shop.

In previous seasons, much filming has taken place in Bristol and Bath. One key location is Leigh Court, in Bristol, which has been used for a number of pivotal ballroom scenes. Plenty of street scenes have been filmed in historic Bath, including Abbey Square, Trim Street, Beauford Square, the Holburne Museum, the Assembly Rooms, Bath Street, the Guildhall and, of course, Royal Crescent.

Bridgerton season three will include a total of eight episodes that are split into two parts. The first four episodes premiere on May 16, and the next four debut June 13.
