Bridgerton’s third season has left Netflix subscribers in a swoon, and the streaming giant now has the numbers to back it up. The latest instalment of Shonda Rhimes’ hit drama was just as captivating as its predecessors, with Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton taking centre stage as fans eagerly watched the blossoming romance between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.

The season was rife with scandal, culminating in the revelation of Penelope’s secret identity as Lady Whistledown to all of high society. Released in two parts in May and June, the strategy seems to have paid off for Netflix.

The viewing stats for the third season are nothing short of impressive, clocking in at a whopping 91.9 million views since the first half debuted on May 16. These figures were tallied on June 30, according to Variety, and are expected to continue growing.
