Before the opening ceremony, Adam sat down with Holly’s father, Gordon Ramsay on the BBC, and he was seen breaking down in tears as he gushed about his coach, Mel’s support.

“I do that, but it offends people,” Adam laughs.
Gordon then proceeds to ask Adam about his relationship with his coach Mel. “We clash, we’ve clashed many times but that’s why we work so good,” Adam said. “She’ll tell me I need to work faster, ‘all these other guys are beating you,’ so I tell her to f**k off,” he says.
“Then she’ll give it me back, and we’re both better of for it.”
Gordon then responds: “That’s healthy, I see it as a passion, anger.” Adam then gets emotional speaking about the journey he’s had with his coach, as he tells Gordon: “I’m always going to need Mel. Only she will know how hard it’s been for me to come back.” With tears in his eyes he then exclaims: “I’m getting emotional again, I’m sorry!”
