The only thing Gordon Ramsay and Tana Ramsay love more than spending time together as a couple is spending time with their six children.

The couple first became parents in 1998 after welcoming their eldest daughter Megan Ramsay, 26. They have since had six children together with the birth of fraternal twins, daughter Holly Anna Ramsay and son Jack Scott Ramsay, 24, in 1999; Matilda Ramsay, 22, affectionately known as Tilly, in 2001; son Oscar James Ramsay, 5, in 2019 (after a miscarriage in 2016); and son Jesse James in 2023.

The birth of the couple’s youngest son, Jesse, came as a surprise to fans of the Ramsay family, who kept Tana’s pregnancy completely under wraps. “It’s been a tough 9 months but we’ve made it through and we’ve been blessed with this little angel,” the mother of six wrote on Instagram. “The Ramsay family is definitely complete.”

In September 2023, Gordon, who is known for his tough demeanor on TV, told PEOPLE that his children “bring out his emotions.”

“Tana is extremely intense, a former Montessori teacher. So I’m a softie,” he said. Tana added, “Believe it or not, he’s extremely sensitive — he cries a lot.”

Megan Ramsay, 26

As the eldest of the Ramsay clan, Megan was the first member of the family to receive a university degree. Gordon celebrated the milestone on Instagram, posting a photo of his daughter in a gown and hat in June 2019.

“So proud of our young lady @megan__ramsay, our first Ramsay to graduate with a degree from @oxfordbrookes, hard work pays off!” he captioned the photo.

Being the eldest has its perks, but it also comes with its fair share of awkward moments. In January 2023, Gordon revealed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that not only did he think his daughter’s boyfriend was “pathetic,” but he also ruined their dinner date.

“He was fine at first,” the chef told host Kelly Clarkson about Megan’s boyfriend Byron. “A little wet. A little bit of… you want a man to date your daughter and he was just, a little pathetic.”

After getting Byron’s phone number from Tilly, Gordon blocked Megan and Byron’s date with a FaceTime call, to which Bryon reportedly answered “shakily.”

“I said, ‘Byron, it’s me. Not your future father-in-law, you f**king b**ch!'” Gordon recalled. Megan abruptly ended the call.

“I just want the girls to be taken care of and they take care of each other,” Gordon explained of his actions. “You’re always worried about that.”

Holly Anna Ramsay, 24
Gordon became a father again on 31 December 1999, when fraternal twins Holly Anna Ramsay and Jack Scott Ramsay were born.

In May 2021, she launched 21 & Over, a podcast dedicated to de-stigmatising mental health issues like anxiety and depression. It also served as a safe space for her to talk openly and honestly about her own mental health journey.

On the podcast, Holly shared that she was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety and depression after being sexually assaulted while studying at Ravensbourne University, where she was studying fashion design. “I didn’t tell anyone about it until a year later. I just buried it in a box at the back of my mind,” she told co-host and psychotherapist Talitha Fosh.

“It’s been hard to understand and I’m trying to take control of my story and use it to create something good,” Holly said. While she has received love and support from her family, she added that “it’s definitely been a journey. But I hope that by speaking out, I can help others.”

In December 2021, the podcast host and influencer celebrated one year of sobriety with a heartfelt Instagram post. “Today marks one year of sobriety. It’s not something I thought I’d say at 21. However, at 21 (almost 22), I never thought I’d go through half of what I’ve gone through,” she wrote. “I chose to stop drinking because it didn’t improve my mental health—that’s what matters most to me.”

Gordon commented on the post: “What an amazing young lady and words can’t describe how proud you make me. Love you so much dad.”
