Did Kevin Costner Make a Mistake in Leaving Yellowstone?

With Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 flopping, it’s easy to look back and say he made the wrong choice in leaving Yellowstone. However, I think if he was so passionate about the project, he was right to pursue it. Regardless of the outcome, the film world needs serious passion projects like this. However, if he had waited for Yellowstone to end, things might have worked out better. He’d be done with the TV series by now, and perhaps leaving on a less chaotic note could have led to a better-received final film.

Apple TV+ is a great service. Ted Lasso and Slow Horses get a lot of hype based on pure viewership numbers, but the show that’s really worth checking out is Severance. The concept itself is obviously cool, but it’s the lack of restraint in the weirdness that really gets you going. The season 1 finale is one of the most tense episodes of television in years.
