Pressed to pick a favorite piece from the capsule — which includes furry bucket hats ($42), oh-so-’90s scrunchie sets ($12), vests ($112), home goods (from $22) and more — Drescher tells Page Six Style she’s “so excited” about the patchwork Collector’s Coats ($602) in particular.“I can’t wait to wear mine all winter long!” she says. “The collection is entirely upcycled from secondhand clothes, so not only is every item one-of-a-kind, but it’s also good for the planet.”
And since ThredUp is donating 20% of proceeds to Drescher’s Cancer Schmancer charity, she adds, it’s “the ultimate feel-good fashion gift.”When it comes to smaller presents and stocking stuffers, the star recommends gifting organic candles or “a great gourmet item, like a wonderful sea salt or California olive oil.”
Beauty products also tends to be a hit; Drescher says her girlfriends all “love” unwrapping Laura Geller Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer ($36), which she calls “a glow-and-go easy miracle in a tube.”And Drescher “recently discovered” celeb-loved hair and body care line Ouai — and likes the stuff so much, it’s at the top of her own holiday wish list.
“I really love their shampoo and conditioners, as well as shower and hand wash and lotion. A big supply of that would be cool,” she hints. There’s also always the gift of a good libation; Drescher likes giving out her “Doctor Detroit” co-star Dan Akroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka ($52), telling us, “[it’s] not only very pure vodka, but also beautifully packaged.”
As for the best present she’s ever unwrapped? “Peter, my gay ex-husband, bought me a René Lalique original flower vase that I cherish,” Drescher recalls — before adding that she’s received some duds from loved ones in the past, too.
“A cousin sent me homemade brownies for the holidays, but when I opened the shipping box, it was filled with ants!”
