Candace Cameron Bure is looking back on meeting her husband Valeri Bure three decades ago.
On Sunday, Aug. 18, the Full House alum, 48, marked the 30th anniversary of meeting her now husband with a sweet Instagram post.
“August 18, 2024 marks the 30 year anniversary of the day Val and I met at a charity hockey game 🏒,” she wrote alongside a photo of the pair smiling. “I wish I had a picture of that day, but here’s one 30 years later to mark the occasion. I love growing old with you, my love 😍❤️🥰.”In the snapshot, Valeri, 50, posed alongside Candace with his arm wrapped around her. The actress sported a matching denim set with a white lace top while the former athlete wore jeans and a blue button-down shirt.
Cameron Mathison commented, “Beautiful 🙏🏼❤️” and Danica McKellar added, “Congrats on 30 years!! ❤️”
The post comes nearly two months after the couple celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary.In an Instagram post honoring the milestone, Candace shared, “28 years 🥂 today! How it started… and how it’s going❤️💒” alongside pictures of her and and Valeri over the years.
The post featured photos of the couple’s early days together — including some black-and-white shots from their 1996 wedding, in which Candace wore a white lace ballgown and long sheer veil as her husband sported a classic black tux.
Another photo showed the pair back in the 1990s, posing together at an ice rink — presumably where Valeri, a two-time Olympic medalist and former NHL player, was practicing.Many of the more recent photos in the mum-of-three’s Instagram carousel featured the longtime couple’s three kids — daughter Natasha, 25, and sons Lev, 24, and Maksim, 22. In one photo, the whole family, including Lev’s wife, Elliott Dunham, posed and smiled at the camera together, and another showed Candace and Valeri kissing as they wore sunglasses and baseball hats while sitting on a boat.
During a Q&A session with fans in May, the Fuller House star posted a throwback photo of herself and Valeri on their second date as she answered how the pair met.

Candace then shared that she met her former professional hockey player husband “at a charity game in L.A.” and that her Full House costar Dave Coulier introduced them.
In the photo, a 22-year-old Candace was seen embracing Valeri as they posed together inside what appeared to be a hockey changing room. The new couple wore baggy sweaters, with Candace sporting darker blonde hair and Valeri donning grown-out, light blonde locks.
