From the Sharmas to the Featheringtons, here’s your ultimate guide to the Bridgerton family tree

Bridgerton Season 3 is here, baby. And with it, we’re expecting a whole new batch of high-society scandals. The Bridgertons, their potential mates, and all the gossipy people who make up the upper echelons are here to occupy our every waking moment once again – but how well do you know the show’s characters?

If you’re a little confused about the Bridgerton family tree and where all the other big names in the high society of the series are, here’s a simple reminder to get you ready for everything that’s going on in Season 3.

Daphne Bridgerton

Daphne Basset (née Bridgerton) and her love story with the Duke (Simon Basset) are a major part of Bridgerton Season 1. She is the fourth child in the family and the eldest daughter.

Anthony Bridgerton

Anthony is the main Bridgerton in Season 2 and the eldest Bridgerton child in the family tree.

In Season 1, we see Anthony as a friend of Simon Basset – he’s actually the reason the Duke and Daphne meet. Throughout Season 1, this Bridgerton has a brief relationship with Siena Rosso, but in Season 2, we see his love story with Kate Sharma develop.

Benedict Bridgerton

Benedict is the second child in the Bridgerton family and he is the main character of the book An Offer from a Gentleman.

In Season 1 of the show, we see Benedict experimenting with his sex life at various parties (some thought a quirky storyline was on the way, but alas, it wasn’t). Love hasn’t entered his life yet, but a sexual relationship with Genevieve Delacroix has begun.

Colin Bridgerton

Oh, sweet young Colin. The third eldest Bridgerton son finds himself caught in a love triangle in Season 1 of the show.

Penelope Featherington has long had feelings for Colin, but he is temporarily engaged to Marina Thompson – unaware that she is pregnant with another man’s child at the time (a major scandal during the Regency). In Season 3, we see the birth of #Polin – as Colin and Penelope discover their feelings for each other.

Eloise Bridgerton

Eloise Bridgerton is the fifth eldest Bridgerton sibling and the second daughter.

She has no interest in romance or men and is more drawn to literature and education. She has long been fascinated by the mystery of who Lady Whistledown is, and when she learns that it is actually her best friend Penelope, their relationship falls apart.

Francesca Bridgerton

We don’t know much about Miss Francesca other than that she is the sixth eldest Bridgerton sibling and the third daughter in the family tree.

In Season 1, Francesca left to practice piano with her Aunt Winnie. In Season 3, she will return, played by a different actress. Hannah Dodd will take on the role.

Gregory Bridgerton

Gregory is one of the youngest Bridgerton children in the family tree. He plays with Hyacinth quite a bit. He doesn’t have a big role yet, but that will change in time.

Hyacinth Bridgerton

Hyacinth Bridgerton is the youngest child in the family tree and she is excited to see her siblings enter high society. God bless.

Viscount Edmund Bridgerton

Lord Bridgerton was the head of the family, but died while his wife Victoria was pregnant with their youngest child, Hyacinth.

Violet Bridgerton

Violet Bridgerton is Edmund’s widow and the mother of all eight Bridgerton children. She helps plan her daughters’ social debuts and plays a fairly active role in guiding them through the ups and downs of their love lives.

Simon Basset

Season 1’s main character, the Duke (Simon Basset), was the face that won over a fanbase in the early days of Bridgerton. A former ‘fuckboi’ turned romantic lead and husband to Daphne, he was the man who won the hearts of most of us watching at home.

While the Duke is still part of the Bridgerton family tree, we haven’t seen him since Season 1.

Queen Charlotte

Queen Charlotte is a brilliant, gossip-obsessed leader and wife of King George III. She’s also the star of the series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

Marina Thompson

As mentioned earlier, Marina Thompson found herself cheated on after a brief affair and became engaged to Colin Bridgerton in an attempt to hide her pregnancy from High Society.

Siena Rosso

Anthony Bridgerton’s mistress in Season 1 and a talented opera singer.

Lady Danbury

Lady Danbury is one of the most influential members of high society. She is Simon’s mentor and has looked after him since he was a child.
