Jensen Ackles will be returning to the small screen very soon. Ackles is set to appear once more in Tracker’s upcoming second season.
Fans of Ackles have Tracker Season 2 to look forward to. In a TVLine Q&A, a fan of Ackles asked, “I am getting excited about Jensen Ackles‘ return to Tracker and Jared Padalecki’s move to Fire Country! Been a fan of both those guys for a very, very long time! Any idea when they are going to show up on CBS?”
TVLine responded by saying, “Ackles is scheduled to make his second Tracker appearance in the second episode of Season 2 while Padalecki was recently seen on the Fire Country set, suggesting his debut as SoCal firefighter Camden Casey won’t be too deep into Season 3.”
Tracker Brings Back Jensen Ackles for Season 2
Tracker, created by Ben H. Winters and starring Justin Hartley, is a drama about a survivalist who aids law enforcement. Based on The New Game by Herrefert Deaver, Ackles played Colter Shaws’ older brother, Russell Shaw. Ackles will reportedly have a more significant presence in Season 2.
“I’ve worked with Jensen previously and Justin’s friends with him,” showrunner Elwood Reid told TheWrap about Ackles’ expanded role in Season 2. “It’s like family — when we text him [he says], ‘tell me where and tell me when,’ and he shows up. He’s just that kind of guy.”
Tracker star Justin Hartley further teased about Ackles’ return, “We got him, he’s coming back. We’re having fun with that, it’s a great story.”
Ackles and Padalecki starred in Supernatural as Sam and Dean Winchester. While not working together, Padalecki will appear in Fire Country’s upcoming season and, according to series showrunner Tia Napolitano, will “flip the script.”
