The Real Housewives of Atlanta: The 8 Most Forgotten Housewives

The drama and shade prominent in The Real Housewives of Atlanta series can be intense. Some cast members choose to willingly leave the show step down to pursue other opportunities while others are forced off the show due to their on-screen behavior or off-screen antics that land them in legal trouble.

With The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s 14 seasons, it can be hard for fans to keep track of every leading lady. While some cast members like NeNe Leakes are fondly remembered by fans, other housewives have been forgotten about due to their lack of drama during their time on the show or their unwillingness to return to the show that made them famous.

Shamari DeVoe

When Shamari DeVoe left the show in season 11, many fans were shocked by her sudden departure. In her tenure on the series, she brought both the drama, especially with her negative attitude during Eva Marcille’s wedding and memorable quotes such as “I may be an open book but that does not mean I am easily read.”

While Shamari was a fan favorite and had one of the best Real Housewives of Atlanta storylines, she ultimately left because the show’s poor editing made her look like she had a drinking problem. Since her departure, she has disappeared from the Housewives franchise and was forgotten by many fans because of her behind-the-scenes work in television production and even community outreach programs. Recently, Shamari has an ambassadorship with National Coalition Against Domestic Violence and serves as an executive producer for WeTV’s Selling It: In the ATL.

Lisa Wu

Lisa Wu was one of the show’s main housewives for seasons 1 and 2 but soon became a guest star only in seasons 3, 9, and 10. Lisa was a businesswoman who recently divorced from her first husband, which helped her bond with many of the leading ladies, especially fellow former Inglewood resident NeNe Leakes.

After leaving the series, Lisa left her career in real estate to start a career in television production. She has produced and starred in three seasons of Hollywood Divas. Lisa is not a hot topic for fans because of her disrespectful attitude toward her costars. She was confrontational and frequently quarreled with the other cast members. Her willingness to confront other ladies to resolve issues soured her on the other housewives as well as the show’s audience, who quickly forgot about her after her early exit.

Shereé Whitfield

Shereé may be remembered by fans for her tense confrontation with Porsha Williams at Eva Marcille’s Halloween Party in her final season appearance. She was one of the main housewives of seasons 1-4 with a short return stint in season 10 before exiting the franchise for good.

Shereé has slipped away from the limelight to be closer with her loved ones such as her fiancé Tyrone Gilliams. Fans have often forgotten about her time on the show as she has tried her best to dissociate her brand from the series. In addition, the high salary request that caused the show’s producers to fire her has prevented the once-popular housewife from appearing on any spin-offs or projects related to the franchise.

Kim Zolciak-Biermann

Like many of the cast members, Kim had witty comebacks and never failed to show the lavish lifestyle of Atlanta to her fans. After her dramatic on-air departure in season 5, she returned briefly in season 10 only to quickly storm offset during the reunion episode after being accused of being a racist by NeNe Leakes.

She has distanced herself from her time at RHOA by starting her own reality television show with Bravo called Don’t Be Tardy. As a result, many fans have forgotten about her unless they watched her unrelated series, which was canceled in May 2021 due to poor ratings. The failure of her show, combined with the lingering accusations of racism and elitism by her former co-stars, has resulted in Kim being a forgotten housewife with no current plans to return to the Housewives franchise or starting another reality show.

Eva Marcille

Eva Marcille was on the show from season 10 to season 12 as first a friend and then a full-time cast member. Most recently, she walked off the recent 2020 RHOA reunion in tears, deciding it was best for her to leave the show.

Eva’s time on the show was instantly forgettable as she had few standout moments. Aside from her brief spat with Marlo on the RHOA tour bus, she didn’t clash with any of the other housewives or bothered to make herself as memorable or likable as fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta member Kandi Burruss. Eva will have a second chance at making her mark on the franchise when she teams with Phaedra Parks on an upcoming Housewives mash-up show.

Claudia Jordan

One of the main cast members of season 7, Claudia Jordan made a mark on the show with her position as a host of the radio program Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Despite her claims of her previous co-star NeNe Leakes sabotaging her career, she has since confirmed she is now cordial with the popular RHOA housewife.

Despite some viewers remembering Claudia for standing up to NeNe on occasion, many more fans have forgotten about her because she limited the conversations about herself and focused more of her attention on confronting NeNe. When NeNe left the show season seven, so did Claudia. With Claudia’s presence dependent on NeNe, many fans forgot about her while NeNe came back to the show in season ten. Currently, she has her own talk show on Fox Soul Platform called Out Loud With Claudia Jordan.

Phaedra Parks

Real Housewives of Atlanta's Phaedra Parks

From season 3 to season 9, Phaedra Parks was known for her shady comments and pointed commentary about the spending habits of the other cast members. According to TMZ, she was fired for spreading unfounded sexual allegations about her castmates.

After her quick dismissal, Phaedra has made an effort to hide her past on the show and build her own career in the entertainment industry. As a result, she has been mostly forgotten by fans of the show. She may stir past memories, and almost-forgotten controversies, as she has been added to a forthcoming Housewives mash-up series with previous RHOA star Eva Marcille.

DeShawn Snow

DeShawn was told to leave the show after her role as one of the main housewives in season one. The producers complained that Snow focused too much of her time on charity events and taking care of her three kids. In fact, DeShawn told New York Daily News she was not causing enough drama for the reality television series and was “too human for a circus show.” Her lack of theatrics was a primary reason fans often forget about her, which encouraged the producers to let her go.

Ironically, after her time on season one, she could have provided the melodrama the producers wanted as she divorced her husband after finding out he fathered a child outside of their marriage. Since her Housewives tenure, DeShawn has authored a children’s book series, Lil Shawnee, and currently works as a real estate agent. Since her time on the show was so brief and memorable, she’s probably the most forgotten housewife of the entire franchise.
