Love Is Blind Season 7: Brittany Wisniewski & Leo Braudy Drama Explained

Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy from Love Is Blind season 7’s relationship has been tumultuous despite hitting it off in the pods. Love Is Blind first premiered in 2020, presenting a unique and unconventional dating method – different from traditional forms of courting. In its seventh installment, the popular dating show presented Washington DC’s dating pool, bringing singles from the area looking for love through this social experiment. In the first six episodes of Love Is Blind season 7, the audience met Leo, a 31-year-old art dealer who wouldn’t let anyone forget he’s rich.

His interestingly lucrative job in an art dealership, which he had inherited from his family, made Leo wealthy. He didn’t shy away from discussing his privileged upbringing, making him the most prominent cast member. After failing to manipulate Hannah Jiles into getting into a relationship with him, Leo led Brittany to believe he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Here is the drama that unfolded between Leo and Brittany, resulting in the pair leaving the experiment early.

Leo & Brittany’s Love Is Blind Journey Explained

They Connected Fast

In Love Is Blind season 7, Leo had a great connection with Brittany. Leo, an art dealer, and Brittany, an esthetician, captivated the viewers due to their unique personalities. The couples had very distinct goals for what they needed in a partnership. Brittany wanted to be a “trophy wife.” The Love Is Blind star said she has formerly dated rock stars and athletes, so her expectations were high (via Netflix). She needed someone who would prioritize and take care of her. On the other hand, Leo was skeptical that women only wanted him for his money.

Leo runs Capital Art Advisory in DC, a family business he inherited when he was young. He has led a pretty privileged life.

However, his fears didn’t stop him from discussing his wealth and Rolex watch. Everything could have been perfect for Leo and Brittany had he not kept his connection with Hannah going. Their involvement was one of the biggest Love Is Blind season 7 love triangles – technically a love square since Hannah had a connection with Nicholas Dorka, AKA Nick D.

Leo continued pursuing his chemistry with Hannah even after she entered the pods to try and cut ties with him. In fact, he was forcing Hannah to accept his proposal, leaving her visibly upset. Leo questioned whether Hannah genuinely loved Nick D or was infatuated by Nick expressing his love for her earlier than Leo.

“Is he the best person for you or is he just the first person to tell you, ‘I love you?'”

Since he couldn’t handle the rejection, the Love Is Blind season 7 cast member continued throwing tantrums and tried manipulating Hannah into choosing him. That didn’t change her opinion. She chose Nick D, leaving Leo with only one option – proposing to Brittany. That’s what he did! Brittany accepted Leo’s proposal, but their first meet-up was awkward. In a confessional, Brittany stated she feared their connection in the pods wouldn’t last in real life. Perhaps they both had preconceived ideas of how each looked, and meeting face-to-face created a disconnect, resulting in uneasiness.

Did Leo & Brittany Go To Mexico?

No, They Didn’t

Brittany and Leo weren’t among the Love Is Blind season 7 couples who went to Mexico for their honeymoon. Instead, the two spent some time together in Miami. Leo and Brittany knew their reveal wasn’t as smooth as they expected, but hoped they could get a chance to build on their connection in Mexico. While speaking to Variety, Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen revealed the shocking reason why Brittany and Leo’s story was featured only to be dropped at the last minute.

“We have a budget to follow five couples, and sometimes we stretch to six couples, and we figure out how to stack our crews.”

Are Leo & Brittany Still Together?

They Aren’t Together

Leo and Brittany couldn’t make it work. While the two initially connected on the fact that Brittany was ready to take up any adventure Leo planned, their connection fizzled out fast. Their chemistry was okay, and they shared similar views on finances. As an outsider looking in, they seemed like a perfect couple. Truthfully, Leo was more into Hannah, but she didn’t want him. Heartbroken and in the heat of the moment, Leo seemed to have settled for Brittany. The couple must have realized soon that they weren’t meant for each other.

While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Leo said their breakup was “mutual” and they spent their post-reveal engagement trips in Los Angeles and Miami. The Love Is Blind co-star revealed they were having lunch one day and happened to discuss their future. During that talk, the now-exes agreed they were better off as friends than lovers. Meeting in the pods has allowed many Love Is Blind couples to form outstanding bonds without physical attributes being part of the equation.

However, there have been scenarios whereby physical chemistry was lacking after the couples met, falling to match the emotional bond the pair had previously created. Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers from Love Is Blind, season 1, went through physical chemistry problems, resulting in Damian leaving Giannina at the altar. With producers failing to continue highlighting Leo and Brittany’s story, they saved Love Is Blind viewers from investing lots of emotions, only to get disappointed in the end.
