Love Is Blind Argentina: Season 1: Who Got Engaged?

Love Is Blind: Argentina saw six contestants find their true love after 32 singles joined the show looking for their life partner. The unscripted series debuted on Netflix on November 6. It is the third installment in Latin America after Mexico and Brazil. Hosted by Wanda Nara and Dario Barassi, Love Is Blind: Argentina went through the first phase of blind dates in pods in search of “the one,” as per the series’ format. Unlike other Love Is Blind series hosted by a real-life couple, Wanda and Dario aren’t in a relationship.

Love Is Blind: Argentina season 1, episode 4 revealed who proposed after forming connections in the pods. Despite having six engagements, only five pairings moved on with the experiment, since Matias Moreno and Brenda Oviedo decided to pursue their connection outside of Love Is Blind: Argentina. Here are the couples who got engaged and jetted off to Tulum, Mexico, to advance to the honeymoon phase.

Emily Ceco & Santiago Martínez

They Got Engaged In Love Is Blind: Argentina Episode 1

Every relationship has its setbacks. However, there are more challenges in the pods as the couples only interact through a wall. This was the case for Love Is Blind: Argentina participants Emily Ceco and Santiago Martínez. It was challenging to navigate through jealous issues, physical attraction, and insecurities. Emily, 24, sought a love that would last a lifetime. Therefore, when she met Santiago, 29, it seemed like a match made in heaven, as he wanted the same.

Their love story started like a romantic fairytale that one would only read about in books or see in movies. The night before the Love Is Blind: Argentina pods opened, Santiago dreamed about a girl whose face he couldn’t see, but he wrote her name down when he woke up. The name was Emily. During their first interaction in the Love Is Blind: Argentina pods, Santiago was in tears when Emily introduced herself. They were so alike yet so different.

Emily and Santiago supported different soccer teams but enjoyed each other’s company in the pods, and their connection seemed effortless.

It was like a Déjà vu moment. He shared his story with Emily, adding they were destined to be. That didn’t sit well with Agustina Pontoriero, whom Santiago had spoken with moments before his interaction with Emily. Agustina broke off her connection with Santiago, leaving him to focus on Emily fully. Santiago and Emily got engaged and headed to Mexico to explore their connection.

When Maria Emilia and Mauricio Zappacosta decided to join Love Is Blind: Argentina, none of them would have predicted how wonderful their love story would unfold. Maria, a 41-year-old lawyer, immediately connected with Mauricio, a 42-year-old fashion designer who had joined the experiment hoping to find his perfect match. However, she was also attracted to the 44-year-old broadcaster Marino Morduchowicz.

It’s hard to miss love triangles in Love Is Blind, and that was no different for Maria, Marino, and Mauricio. Mauricio was genuinely attracted to Maria. Therefore, he warned Marino to stay away from her since he came off as a playboy. Luckily for Mauricio, he didn’t have to put too much effort into keeping Marino off Maria. When he admitted to cheating while having a conversation in the Love Is Blind: Argentina pods, it was too much for Maria to handle.

That’s when she shifted all her attention to Mauricio, who had similar values. Although Maria later admitted Mauricio needed more emotional validation from her, she still wanted to pursue a relationship with him. The two got engaged, but there might be trouble in paradise after Mauricio admitted Maria wasn’t typically his type. That served as a prelude to how much physical appearance might hold as their interaction grows. In the recently concluded Love Is Blind season 7, Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka struggled to connect after it was pretty evident they were not each other’s type physically.

Hannah openly admitted Nick had exaggerated his looks. Nick wasn’t into Hannah that much either but played it cool for the cameras. Even though they almost made it, their lack of physical attraction resulted in their separation days before their wedding. During the Love Is Blind season 7 reunion, the cast members revealed the mean name Nick used to refer to Hannah, and Mauricio’s and Maria’s relationship might take the same path.

Florfi Frers & Tom Martorello

The Love Is Blind Couple Got Engaged In Episode 2

When 27-year-old Florfi Frers joined Love Is Blind: Argentina, she wouldn’t have guessed how this experience would have turned out. Florfi matched with fellow 27-year-old Tom Martorello, a DJ, producer, and publicist. Their goals and ambitions aligned perfectly. Despite their connection, Tom still explored elsewhere. He had a connection with Florencia Fernandez, 28, who had put Tom as her number one even though she was also dating other people in the pods.

Although Tom was open to knowing Florencia, as they continued communicating, he realized Florencia was much like his ex. That’s when Tom chose Florfi and proposed. Tom and Florfi were ready to explore their “beautiful connection.” Should they exchange vows in the Love Is Blind: Argentina finale, Florfi will get to see Tom DJ live one day.

Julieta Fennema & Ezequiel Ingrassia

Engaged In Episode 3

Julieta Fennema had an amazing connection with Ezequiel Ingrassia and Jose Luis Farina. However, Julieta’s connection with Jose didn’t start on the right foot. She was unsure if Jose was the best match for her because he communicated so strongly, which was a turn-off. She also felt he was on Love Is Blind: Argentina to gain popularity. However, her connection with Ezequiel was effortless, which made her realize he was the right match, leading to their coupling. When Dario asked how their first night was, Julieta said it was great.

“Our first night was amazing. You’re with someone you feel like you know, but you’re also sharing a bed for the first time. “

Although Julieta had doubts after seeing Ezequiel, it appears the couple fell head over heels after getting engaged. They share similar goals since they both don’t want to become parents. Their chemistry was evident from the moment they landed for their honeymoon in Mexico. It will be fun to see how the two navigate through family and friends as they get to know each other better.

Evangelina Novo & Roberto Andrés Marsicano

Roberto Proposed In Episode 3

Evangelina “Eva” Novo & Roberto Andrés Marsicano became one of the most exciting couples to watch on Love Is Blind: Argentina, thanks to their shared background. Roberto, a rancher, reminded Evangelina of her upbringing when she worked with her dad. Eva found it easy to communicate and open up to Roberto. She’d been single for about four years before deciding to re-enter the dating scene through Love Is Blind: Argentina.

While Eva was sure about being with Roberto, he remained open to exploring other connections in the pods -Agustina. However, this didn’t affect Eva, who was confident in their relationship and the trajectory it was taking. The Love Is Blind: Argentina couple shared deeper family issues that troubled them. Eva talked about how her father’s infidelity and her parents’ separation affected her, while Roberto told Eva about his sister’s premature pregnancy and subsequent heart attack, which brought them closer together. Eventually, he proposed, and she gladly accepted.

Matias Moreno & Brenda Oviedo

They Pursued Their Relationship Outside Love Is Blind Experiment

Matias Moreno and Brenda Oviedo’s first connection began in Love Is Blind: Argentina episode 3. Their connection only grew as the series progressed. Brenda, a single mother of two, was ready to give everything she had to the dating experiment in hopes of finding the right partner. Their first date was remarkable, and their interactions afterward were perfect. The only shaky thing was when Brenda declared how she would have wanted to marry her ex, who had passed away.

However, Matias didn’t see that as a red flag. Instead, he was moved by the story. Their face-to-face reveal was magical, leaving each of them grinning ear-to-ear. Matias quickly noted he wanted to feel “more secure” in their relationship and wished to do so away from the Love Is Blind: Argentina cameras. Hopefully, their journey will be discussed at the Love Is Blind: Argentina reunion.
