Love Is Blind Season 7 spoilers ahead!
Taylor Krause and Garrett Josemans quickly became a fan-favorite couple on the latest season of Love Is Blind. Like all couples on the Netflix dating show, they fell in love without seeing each other, communicating solely through the iconic “pods.” Fans adored them for their shared background in science and matching science-themed tattoos, dubbing them a perfect match.
After their engagement, Taylor and Garrett’s wedding was nothing short of magical. During last month’s reunion episode, fans were thrilled to learn that the pair are still happily married.
However, the couple recently opened up about the awkward reality of filming their pod reveal, a moment that wasn’t as smooth as it appeared on screen.
In a candid discussion on Brandi and Tish Cyrus’s Sorry We’re Stoned podcast, Taylor admitted that their initial meeting was far from love at first sight. “Garrett and I weren’t initially really attracted to each other,” she said. Garrett quickly clarified, “Hold on, hold on. Initially, as in at the reveal.”
Garrett explained that the reveals feel very different in real life compared to how they appear on camera. “It’s supposed to be this beautiful, wonderful moment, but it’s shocking. It’s like lightning striking you for 20 minutes. You walk out, and you’re so disoriented that you forget what she looks like—it’s crazy.”
Taylor described the scene as “dead silent” with about 70 cameras capturing the moment. “You’re like, ‘OK, we’re going to kiss right now,’” she said, while Garrett added, “You can hear your heart pounding, and you’re just emotionally exhausted afterward.”
The pod reveal itself featured some sweet yet awkward moments, including Taylor questioning Garrett’s height when he claimed to be 6 ft. Despite the initial unease, the two exchanged smiles, shared their first kiss, and Garrett proposed with, “Taylor Morgan Krause, will you marry me?” Taylor happily replied, “Absolutely.”
Garrett later revealed that after the reveal, he wasn’t sure if he was “into her.” But by the time they reached their group trip to Cabo, any lingering doubts had vanished.
Their honesty sheds light on the less-than-perfect aspects of reality TV’s most romantic moments. Which other Love Is Blind reveals do you think were more awkward than they seemed on screen?
Meanwhile, you can catch Taylor and Garrett’s full conversation on the Sorry We’re Stoned podcast.
