‘The Conners’ Renewed for Final Season: ABC Confirms Abbreviated Seventh Season

It’s official: The Conners will wrap up its story with a seventh and final season. The Roseanne spinoff has been renewed for an abbreviated six-episode farewell, giving the long-running sitcom a proper send-off.

As previously reported, the renewal process took longer than usual due to scheduling conflicts, particularly for John Goodman, who leads the cast alongside Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, and Lecy Goranson. Fortunately, the main cast is set to return, ensuring fans can bid farewell to the Conner family with the core ensemble intact.

To mark the occasion, ABC released the first promo for the “farewell season,” celebrating the legacy of both The Conners and its predecessor, Roseanne. The promotional clip highlights the franchise’s impressive run, blending memorable moments from The Conners with nostalgic footage from Roseanne.

“You’ve been part of this family for years,” the promo says, inviting viewers to join in saying goodbye after six seasons of The Conners and over three decades of Conner family stories.

The milestone comes shortly after The Conners celebrated its 100th episode, making Roseanne one of the few comedy franchises to deliver two series reaching this landmark.

The final season is set to air in 2025, promising to honor the franchise’s rich history while providing a heartfelt conclusion for its beloved characters.
