Actor Dondré Terrell Whitfield, best known for his role as Robert Foreman, Vanessa’s boyfriend on the 1980s television sitcom The Cosby Show, is 53 years old. Born in Brooklyn, New York and attended the infamous High School for the Performing Arts in New York City.
After his breakout role on The Cosby Show, he went on to play Terrence Frye on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children which has aired since 1970. For this role, he earned three nominations for Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Young Person. Actor in a television series and two Soap Opera Digest awards.
Dondré has also starred in several short-lived sitcoms including The Crew (1995-1996), Between Brothers (1997-1999), and Hidden Hills (2002–2003).

He has also appeared in several films such as Two Can Play That Game (2001), The Salon (2004) and Middle of Nowhere (2012). He even appeared with his wife Salli Richardson in the movie Pastor Brown.

In 2015, he joined the cast of the BET reality comedy series Real Husbands of Hollywood, and in 2016 began starring in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series Queen Sugar, for which he won NAACP Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
