Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana leave date night in style as they drive off in a luxury Aston Martin worth £1 million

Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana left their lavish date night in style on Saturday evening.

The chef, 57, was spotted leaving the Connaught hotel in London’s Mayfair, where he was taking his wife Tana for dinner, in an Aston Martin worth £1 million – with only 110 of these rare cars in he world.

The car was built to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the luxury British sports car manufacturer.

Gordon looked dapper in a blue blazer as he stepped into the sportscar and left the five-star hotel, while fans took videos.

It comes after Gordon’s three-year plans to renovate his £7 million London mansion have reportedly hit another roadblock, after the council rejected plans to build new security gates.

It’s thought the council turned down the planning request to knock down a ‘historic wall’ and modify the gates because it wouldn’t keep in line with other properties in the surrounding area.

He has been undertaking an extensive overhaul of his multi-million-pound London property, which is set to include a wine store and a master bedroom that takes over an entire floor.

Construction for the extension started in September 2021, but workers have been restricted to using ‘non-machinery’ tools for parts of the renovation due to the property being in a conversation area.

According to The Sun, Gordon wanted to install painted timber gates to replace the current steel ones, and remove a ‘historic’ front boundary wall with another design.

In these areas, special planning controls are applied to developments in a bid to preserve their character and appearance.

Planning documents submitted in January revealed the gates ‘will match’ one of Gordon’s neighbours’ properties who have similar designed ones.

But the council reportedly denied his application, saying that it wouldn’t be in keeping with other properties in the neighbourhood.

It would also mean the demolition of a ‘brick patterned’ wall, which ‘could have some historic significance’, with an ‘impact on a conservation area’.

While Gordon has been undertaking the work, he and his family have been staying a luxurious £12,000-a-month flat in a nearby riverside development.

It’s thought that a majority of the renovations are now complete, and Gordon’s new basement has a gym, wine store, plant room, boot room, and shower room.

Planning officers have reportedly told Gordon to put in a fresh application, which ‘would warrant further consideration.’

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Gordon Ramsay for comment.

Gordon previously won planning permission to erect two super-trendy ‘igloos’ at his London home.

The foul-mouthed chef lodged plans in 2019 to place the log cabins in his back garden to create more living space for friends and family to stay in.

The chic cabins, costing £40,000 each, have three outside windows, a small door and are clad in spruce shingles and plywood battens.

Meanwhile, inside, the luxury pods include a fully functional kitchen, double bed, electric heating, a shower, storage, power points and a TV cabl
