Kristen Stewart Once Called Out The Unrealistic Intimate Scenes In Twilight: “How Do We Live Up To That?”
Kristen Stewart gained popularity with the Twilight movie in 2008, even though she appeared in several projects before that. The actress played Bella Swan in a romantic fantasy film starring Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen. The rest of the cast includes Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, and Taylor Lautner. The Twilight Saga film series is based on Melissa Rosenberg’s novel of the same name.
It has been more than ten years since the first Twilight movie was released and discussed about it don’t stop. People have a lot to say about these movies, but as Robert Pattinson once said, hating on them is not cool anymore. The Twilight movies became a topic of discussion for a lot of reasons, mainly due to the intimate scenes between Bella and Edward.
In the past, in an interview, Kristen Stewart opened up about how agonising it was to shoot these intimate scenes. About filming the intimate scene for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1, the actress told Harper’s Bazaar UK in 2015, “It had to be transcendent and otherworldly, inhuman, better sex than you can possibly ever imagine, and we were like, ‘How do we live up to that? It was agony. Which sucks, because I wanted it to be so good.”
Kristen Stewart added that she isn’t against shooting such scenes, but hates the contrived ones. She adds, “That’s when it’s grotesquely uncomfortable.” In the same interview, Kristen talked about the sexism in the Hollywood industry. The Twilight actress said that women must work a little harder to be heard, as Hollywood is disgustingly sexist. She said that the sexism is so offensive, that it’s crazy.
Currently, Kristen Stewart caught everyone’s attention with her bold magazine photoshoot. On the work front, her film Love Lies Bleeding has created a buzz. The movie, which was released in the US on March 8, has several explicit scenes. Rose Glass directed the romantic thriller, which also stars Katy O’Brian, Ed Harris, Anna Baryshnikov, Dave Franco, and Jena Malone. The actress will be next seen in a post-apocalyptic romantic film called Love Me, which also stars Steven Yeun. The actress is also part of Michael Angarano’s comedy road trip film, Sacramento. The film also stars Michael, Michael Cera, Maya Erskine, AJ Mendez and Rosalind Chao.
