Call your mom, grab your girlfriends, and invite your sister over for a girls’ night-in because everyone’s favorite southern flick is coming to Netflix.
Steel Magnolias is just one of the many titles the company is adding to its lineup this August. While you can pay to stream or rent the film whenever you want, it will only be available for free on the platform for a limited time, so you better watch it while you can.
The iconic 1989 movie, starring Sally Field, Dolly Parton, Shirley MacLaine, Julia Roberts, Olympia Dukakis, and Daryl Hannah follows six outspoken female friends and their life in a small Louisiana town. Together they navigate health scares, heartaches, loss, and more, all while maintaining their close-knit relationships. We don’t want to give too much away for those who haven’t seen it, but we can tell you it’s based on a true story, and it’s filled with plenty of hysterical, quotable lines and tear-jerking moments.
