Al Pacino Starring In Controversial Assassination Conspiracy Movie
Deadline reports that Al Pacino and Shia LaBeouf are attached to an upcoming film about the assassination of JFK, aptly titled Assassination. Though early reports of this movie came from this year’s Cannes film festival, more details have emerged even though a lot of the plot is still under wraps at this point in time. What we do know about Assassination, however, is that the David Mamet written script will be directed by Oscar winning filmmaker, Barry Levinson.
Al Pacino is set to star in Assassination, a movie about the mob’s possible connection to the JFK assassination.
The plot of this Al Pacino movie will center on the assassination of JFK, and will have a strong emphasis on organized crime. This re-imagining of John F. Kennedy’s death will suggest that a hit was ordered against the president after making attempts to undermine the mob after they helped him get elected.
Since this film is still very much in the pre-production phases, we don’t know much else about the casting aside from Al Pacino and Shia LaBeouf retaining top billing.
Al Pacino will be portraying a senior mob boss named Tony Accardo in this JFK film, but we do not presently know what role LaBeouf will take on. Though earlier reports suggested that John Travolta would be attached to the film as well, it remains to be seen if he’s still involved, and if so, what role he will be taking on.
