Claudia Jessie is definitely one of the lower-key members of Bridgerton although she really gets a lot of screen time. I’m very late on a request for the black dress she wore to the Bridgerton premiere in London, with a reader seeking it out for a summer mountain wedding (which I really hope hasn’t happened yet, Andrea!). Most of the attention on Claudia’s style comes from her repeats – she cares a lot about sustainability and her go-to blue Stella McCartney suit has made a few appearances, with her promising more. After a long and unfruitful search for her exact dress, I do wonder if it’s pulled from her closet, borrowed from a friend or bought second-hand. It would make a lot of sense not just from a sustainability standpoint but also a financial one. Red carpet dressing is expensive. Nicola Coughlan clearly had budget (her run was spectacular) but Netflix is not shelling out for every cast member. I would guess there was a lot of connections being worked. For example, Hannah Dodd showed up to that same premiere in Versace but she’s already a model and clearly has an active PR team; her Instagram is giving “next big thing” energy. But enough of my excuses! I didn’t find Claudia’s dress but I did find a couple of similar black options from Kiki Vargas (on sale, but super limited sizing here); this voluminous black dresses from Aje (same deal, on sale but limited sizes), and this one is sleeveless but light and breezy in case of a heatwave – and it’s under $100). Oh and one more thing about Claudia: she doesn’t have Instagram. I’m liking her more and more!
Two quick requests: Lea Michele’s baby shower gown (it’s Monique Lhuillier and almost $7k). The other one is a little more low-key: Margot Robbie’s first baby bump photos. These are pap photos but it is pretty obvious pap photos so while it’s not a press release, it’s a confirmation. These shots are a little grainy and beyond the red carpet and Chanel, I actually don’t know a lot about her style. This particular shirt could be tucked into her bra (you can see the close up here). Interestingly, the closest thing I’ve found is this one from Dynamite. Here’s Lea Michele, because Margot doesn’t have Instagram (publicly at least).Another quickie: Rachel Bilson in a checkered pink bathing bikini top and matching wrap. Her stylist went ahead and tagged it for us – it’s Le Bas Vichy swimsuit by Jacquemus and pretty much sold out. This one isn’t gingham, but it is a pink bandeau and has a similar vibe.
