U.S. Olympic medal-winning gymnasts Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey are among a group taking their talents throughout the United States as part of a post-2024 Paris Olympics tour that will stop in Phoenix next week.
The Gold Over America Tour is scheduled to come to Footprint Center on Wednesday, Sept. 18, its third night of the tour after opening in Oceanside, Calif., on Monday and Tuesday.
The tour is scheduled to visit 30 cities throughout the country, ending in Detroit on Nov. 3.
Hezly Rivera, Paul Juda, Brody Malone, Fred Richard, Joscelyn Roberson, Shane Wiskus and Yul Moldauer are some of the other gymnasts scheduled to be on the tour, but Biles is the headliner.
The tour website, goldoveramericatour.com describes the show: “Led by Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time, the Athleta Presents Gold Over America Tour — or GOAT, its sublime acronym — brings an exhilarating display of jaw-dropping athletic brilliance and high-energy choreography coupled with inspirational messages of hope, strength, resilience, and determination. Every tumble, twist, and gravity-defying trick will have audiences on the edge of their seat at every performance.”
Carey, an Arizona native who attended Glendale Mountain Ridge High, is bound to grab a lot of attention at the Phoenix tour stop after her performance at the 2024 Olympics.
Tickets for the show in Phoenix, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., are on sale now and start at just under $50 each, including fees. Some seats are listed for almost $250 each.
There is also an opportunity to purchase VIP packages for the show in Phoenix, which includes a chance to meet the gymnasts.
