Simone Biles is poking fun at herself by re-creating the intense stare that became a meme during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The gold medal-winning gymnast, 27, posted a funny video Aug. 19 on TikTok and Instagram that showed her mocking the moment, which happened after something caught her attention during a warm-up session on the mat.
At the time, Biles abruptly turned to stare directly into a news camera, holding the camera in a steely gaze for several seconds.
Biles’ stare became a social media meme, with fans using it to express everything from their partner’s irritation with them to their undying love for Beyonce.
In her cute new video, Biles recreates the stare during random moments throughout her day, adding some text to explain exaclty what motivated her to stare down the camera.
“Hearing someone on their couch has comments on the routine,” she writes as she turns to face the camera while walking through a living room.
“When the drink he ordered starts looking like the drink I should’ve ordered,” she thinks as she stares into the camera while dining outside at a restaurant.
Biles then turns and stares again while sorting through a rack of dresses. The text mimics someone interrupting her to ask, “Can I just say something?”
Biles also stares with piqued interest when “someone mentions women’s sports” while she’s eating.
In the final moment, Biles turns to look at the camera again to represent “the vault when it sees her coming.”
Biles’ video comes a little more than a week after the gymnast’s younger sister, Adria, shared a pic of the sisters’ dad, Ronald Biles, modeling the new gold chain Snoop Dogg presented to him in Paris in honor of his 75th birthday.
Over the image, she joked, “snoop gave him a chain now he don’t know how to act 🤣.”
She added, “75 looks great on you! happy birthday i love you 🤍.”
