It seems like the 2024 Paris Olympics just ended, but gold medalist Simone Biles is back in action already—and looking fabulous.
On Monday, Sept. 9, the record-breaking gymnast took to her Instagram Stories to announce that she’ll be headlining the upcoming Gold Over America Tour this fall alongside other superstar gymnasts including Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Paul Juda, and Brody Malone—and she debuted a brand-new look in the process.
In a smiling selfie captioned “I did a thing,” Biles’ long, dark tresses had blond highlights from the middle to the ends of her hair. The athlete accessorized with a silver necklace and wore a gray sweatshirt unzipped to reveal a tank top of the same color.
Biles also tagged her hairstylist, Jazmine Johnson, who then shared the pic to her own Stories.
“Yes ma’am!! A thing was done!!!” Johnson wrote.

Biles’ hair has been a topic of hot debate for fans in the past. The 27-year-old sent a bold message to critics during the Olympic games in July after sharing a clip to Instagram in which she used a battery-powered fan to keep cool on a bus ride with no air conditioning.
“Don’t come for me about my hair,” she wrote in the video’s caption. “IT WAS DONE but [the] bus has NO AC & it’s like 9,0000 degrees. Oh & a 45 min ride.”
“Gonna hold your hand when I say this 💋Next time you wanna comment on a black girls hair. JUST DON’T,” Biles continued.
