CBS has now unveiled the official trailer for Tracker season 2. The trailer kicks off with Colter investigating a mysterious disappearance in the woods involving a man’s leaving his phone behind and his car doors open. He then takes on a case that is described as “a bit of a weird one,” which is followed by him being lit from above while standing in a field, a shot seemingly imitating an alien abduction. The trailer also showcases the return of Ackles’ Russell, driving with Colter in what looks to be an uncomfortable silence. Check out the full trailer below:
What The New Trailer Means For Tracker Season 2
Tracker’s Strange Case Remains A Mystery
For the time being, the strange case being teased in the Tracker season 2 trailer remains unknown. However, despite the implication of the mysterious shot of Colter in the field, it seems highly unlikely that the show will actually introduce an extraterrestrial menace. It seems probable that the presence of the light is more likely due to a helicopter landing in the area or a similar, though still unusual, incident.
The shot of his reunion with Russell could also indicate that the formerly estranged brothers are slowly rebuilding their bond.
The video also reveals that Colter will be building more connections with other human beings, slowly continuing to shed his lone wolf lifestyle bit by bit. While the trailer showcases him slowly coming to earn the respect of a character who doesn’t appreciate reward-seekers, the shot of his reunion with Russell could also indicate that the formerly estranged brothers are slowly rebuilding their bond. The tense shot may come from a teased upcoming storyline involving Colter unearthing a secret from his mother’s past, which may throw the pair into one another’s paths yet again.
Our Take On The Tracker Season 2 Trailer
The Tease Is Simultaneously Frustrating And Compelling
While the new trailer raises more questions than it answers, those lingering questions combined with the onscreen reunion of the returning Tracker cast members are more than enough for the video to be a compelling tease for the return of the hit series. This is especially true in the case of the reunion of Colter and Russell, who still have a lot to work through when it comes to their past and their unresolved feelings about the death of their father.
