*Season 3 spoilers ahead!*
Dearest Readers — after more than two (!) years, fans of the romantic regency drama Bridgerton can finally make haste and queue up new episodes of the long-awaited third season now that part one has officially dropped on Netflix.
The Shonda Rhimes-produced show has had fans eagerly waiting for the latest installment, which focuses on friends-turned-lovers Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and fellow neighbor and friend Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). As viewers know, we’ve watched Penelope struggle with unrequited feelings for the third-oldest Bridgerton boy for the previous two seasons. And now their time has finally come.
But if there’s anything we know about Bridgerton fans, it’s that the excitement for those first few season 3 episodes will be replaced with inquiries about part two quite quickly — after all, part one is only four episodes, easily conquerable for the casual binge-watcher. So when can Lady Whistledown fans expect part two?
Deadline announced in early April that part two, which is also four episodes, will drop on June 13. That means fans will have to wait a little less than a month to see the aftermath of Colin and Penelope’s steamy carriage scene after finally confessing their feelings to one another.
Desperate to fill the time until then? You can always read their full story and novel that inspired this season, Romancing Mister Bridgerton: Penelope and Colin’s Story (Bridgertons Book 4). You can also rewatch season 1 and season 2, both eight episodes long, or you can join in on all the online speculation wondering which Bridgerton sibling’s love story will be the center of the upcoming, but very far off, season 4!
