‘Bridgerton’ Creators Announce Benedict’s Love Interest in August 2024

Season 4 of Bridgerton Has Cast Benedict’s Love Interest!

Variety announced in August 2024 that Yerin Ha will star opposite Luke Thompson in the upcoming Regency romance, which will follow Benedict’s journey to everlasting love.

In April 2021, Netflix confirmed that the series had been renewed for both a third and fourth season. While details about the upcoming season are still scarce, author Julia Quinn recently confirmed to PEOPLE that plans are currently underway.

While the third book followed Benedict’s search for a romantic partner, the Netflix series switched things up for the most recent season by following the fourth book, Romancing Mister Bridgerton. Now, we know that Benedict’s story will be told in season 4 instead, which means he’s next in line.

Thompson, who plays Benedict, will reprise his role in season 4 with Ha playing his love interest, Sophie Beckett. Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope, and Luke Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton’s love interest, will also return.

“They’ve told us we’re coming back for season 4, which is amazing… It’s going to be fun,” she teased to TheWrap. “[We’re] going to be back and it’s going to be fun.”

At a press conference at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco on Saturday, June 15, Simone Ashley revealed that she and Jonathan Bailey are hoping to return for season 4.

“Both Johnny and I are very fond of our characters, Kate and Anthony, and their relationship and what they mean to the show,” she said, adding, “I think we’ll do everything we can with our schedules to make it work, hopefully.”

Bailey has confirmed her presence for the fourth season in August 2024.
While no other cast members have been confirmed, it’s believed that Adjoa Andoh, Golda Rosheuvel, Ruth Gemmell, Claudia Jessie, and Hannah Dodd, the latter of whom joined the cast in season 3, will all return. There’s also a chance that Masali Baduza, who joined the cast at the end of season 3 in a surprise role, will return.
