Daniel Radcliffe Prefers Animated Shows Over ‘Breaking Bad And The Sopranos’

While their full-time jobs involve appearing on the big or small screen, our favorite stars also enjoy watching TV shows and films in their free time. Like everyone else, celebrities love catching up on popular drama series and films that everyone is talking about. Although shows like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos are highly popular, actor Daniel Radcliffe is not a fan of these dramas. The Harry Potter star recently revealed the set of shows he enjoys watching, which includes the adult animation series The Simpsons.

In a conversation with CBR, Radcliffe shared that he often watches cartoons and reality TV, further revealing that he never got to watch Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, and other similar programs.

“Honestly, I watch cartoons, and I watch reality TV. I’ve never seen Breaking Bad. I’ve never watched The Sopranos or The Wire. All the sort of heavy, hour-long stuff. Just, I can’t. I think it probably stems in part from growing up on The Simpsons in the way that I think so many people are our generation’s kids,” the actor said.

Radcliffe also explained how the show has given him a lot of trivia knowledge. “There are so many weird facts, and things from my general knowledge of the world to my sense of humor were formed in some ways by The Simpsons,” he added. The actor feels that animated projects can depict things that wouldn’t work in live-action, and this is why he enjoys them more. He said, “It makes sense that our generation of people that have grown up on The Simpsons would want to continue watching more adult-themed cartoons when they get older.”
