Simone Biles cemented her place as the greatest U.S. gymnast at the Paris Olympic Games, winning three gold medals and a silver to bring her Olympic medal count to 11. Following her heroic performance at the Bercy Arena, her parents, Kelvin Clemons and Nellie Biles, have gifted her a Hermes bag.
Seeking a great comeback after the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, Biles was off to a great start, winning the women’s artistic team all-around gold medal. She extended the winning streak to the vault routine before claiming top honors in the women’s artistic individual all-around event.
Biles finished fifth on the balance beam before bouncing back to claim a silver medal in the women’s floor exercise. She finished behind Brazilian Rebeca Andrade, one of her main rivals.
Her parents have gifted her a luxurious Hermes bag. The Hermes fashion brand manufactures leather bags with unique features and are some of the most expensive bags in the world. After getting the bag, Biles teased her fans, sharing a post on her Threads account:
“My parents bought me my Hermes bag 🥰 don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents”
As reported by People, Biles went shopping on Friday, August 9 where she shared photos documenting her day on her Instagram stories.
In the photos shared, there was a wall that had a series of cream and tan-coloured Hermes Birkin bags.
Indicating that she had received the gift, Biles snapped a photo of an orange gift box that looks exactly like a Hermes gift box on a table, captioning it with a series of emojis. Biles has since confirmed that the gift was indeed a Hermes bag from her parents.
Shanon Biles asks for forgiveness from Simone Biles after ‘abandoning her’
Shanon Biles came out to seek forgiveness from her daughter Simone Biles after abandoning her and her younger sister following her drug addiction.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Shanon noted that she is ready to meet her daughter and have a sit-down with her.
“I would like to make amends with Simone personally, I’m just waiting for her and Adria. I speak to Adria more than I speak to Simone. I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward,” Shanon said.
She added:
“I’m waiting for the opportunity but I’m waiting for her to be able to come to me. Let’s sit down. I just have to be patient.”
As per People, Biles and her sister were adopted in 2003. They had been placed in foster care where they stayed for three years before they left. After their adoption, they moved to Houston, Texas.
