Exciting News: Bridgerton Confirmed to Continue for Seasons 3 and 4! | Plot Preview

‘BRIDGERTON’ has been officially renewed for seasons 3 and 4, much to the excitement of fans. The popular period drama has garnered a huge following since its debut, with viewers eagerly anticipating what will happen next in the lives of the Bridgerton family.

Seasons 3 and 4 will continue the story of the scandalous and romantic lives of the high-class characters, with plenty of drama, intrigue and romance. Fans can expect more lavish outfits, scandalous secrets and steamy love scenes as the Bridgerton siblings navigate the treacherous waters of Regency-era London society.

‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Escorts a New Francesca to the Ballroom
Francesca Bridgerton — the third Bridgerton daughter and sixth sister — is the quintessential little sister. She bites her tongue when someone wears a ridiculous outfit (just ask Eloise) and delivers the lowest-level sisterly reprimand when Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) returns for Bridgerton Season 2, sporting a mustache and a tan. But the pragmatic and reserved Francesca is about to change in a big way in Season 3. Francesca has been recast and will be played by a new actress, Hannah Dodd. Dodd and the rest of the Bridgerton cast will begin production on Season 3 this summer.

The news isn’t quite the shock worthy of Lady Whistledown’s sharpest words since 21-year-old Ruby Stokes, who originally played Francesca, announced her departure from the series in March. Stokes has since been cast as the lead in another Netflix project, the supernatural thriller Lockwood & Co.

Anatomy of a Scandal fans will recognize Dodd from her Bridgerton debut as the witty Francesca. The British actor co-starred in Anatomy of a Scandal as Sienna Miller’s young Sophie. Dodd also stars in Flowers in the Attic: The Origins, a miniseries inspired by the book of the same name. Later this year, audiences can catch her in the sequel to Millie Bobby Brown’s YA blockbuster Enola Holmes 2 in a new mysterious supporting role.

A new face in high society—and another Bridgerton? The ballroom is sure to be ablaze when Season 3 premieres.
