FORMER TWILIGHT STAR, WIFE SAY THEY’RE ‘HAPPIEST’ WHEN FOCUSING ON JESUS

THE TWILIGHT SAGA star Kellan Lutz and his wife Brittany recently shared their tips for staying connected in a relationship, as well as their thoughts on letting go of anger, pursuing knowledge and potentially having more kids.

“I get a lot of questions from people that ask, ‘How do you guys stay so connected?’” Brittany said in a recent YouTube video. “I think some people get a little stuck, and they feel like things can get a little stagnant. We’ve had nothing but an adventure of a lifetime thus far, but one of the huge things…that keep us connected is questions.”

Kellan added, “How to build relationships…it all stems with actively listening and asking questions to get to know people, and the less you speak, the more you can hear and really understand people.”

The couple explained that they frequently find time to ask each other questions, as well as their loved ones, and are always amazed by what they learn from people.

They then went through a series of questions. The first one was, “What would you love to grow?”

“Our family,” Kellan jokingly replied, then added, “Maybe one day. I’m happy with our kiddos right now.”

The couple also addressed topics like letting anger influence your actions.

“It’s not worth acting out of anger,” Brittany explained. “The Bible says, ‘Be angry and sin not,’ so if I’m angry and lash out at you…that’s sinning, and I never want to do that.”

They then moved on to a conversation about increased knowledge not necessarily leading to increased happiness.

“The only thing we should be pursuing is the truth, which is Jesus Himself, and the way, the truth, and the life, and I think, as long as that’s our focus…I think we’ll be happiest,” Brittany concluded .

The couple often talk about the work they put in to prioritize their family and relationship with each other.

In an interview with Fox News, Kellan said, “We’re a team. We’re on the same team. We just want to get the ball into the goal together. I’m weak sometimes. She’s weak sometimes, and [together ] we can be strong.”

Brittany touched on the couple’s journey in a recent Valentine’s Day Instagram post.

“9 valentines in and they just keep getting better,” she wrote under a photo of the pair kissing. “This picture was taken in 2020 after the toughest ride of our lives. I was still postpartum after losing our baby girl and we had a night where we looked at each other and said, ‘All of our plans for our little family are in ash on the floor. Are we going to rebuild something new or are we going to give up?’”

Brittany continued, “That night we chose to rebuild. We chose to cast vision. We chose each other all over again. Thinking about our journey together so far leaves me humble and so happy. We’re in this forever and that still won’ t be enough time together.”
