At the beginning of the episode, tensions rise as DJ, Stephanie, and Kimmy are faced with the responsibility of raising DJ’s three children – Jackson, Max, and Tommy. In this context, the episode focuses mainly on humorous but no less dramatic situations revolving around the family’s daily life.

Jackson and the failed escape: The main story of the episode revolves around DJ’s oldest son, Jackson, as he has difficulty adjusting to his new school. Jackson feels uncomfortable and begins to think about dropping out of school. He decides to “escape” from school to avoid facing challenges that he feels are too much.

Jackson devises an escape plan with two new friends. They decide to leave the school through the emergency exit and board the bus home. However, Jackson’s plan is quickly discovered and he is arrested before he can successfully carry out his plan. The school principal contacts DJ to report Jackson’s behavior, and DJ is immediately confronted with the problem.

DJ and her motherhood: DJ is frustrated and worried when she learns that her son has tried to drop out of school. She realizes that being a single mother is not easy, especially when managing three children with different needs and problems. During her conversation with Jackson, DJ tries to understand why he wants to drop out and feels lost. She realizes that she needs to listen and help her son more, instead of simply punishing him.

DJ explains to Jackson that everyone faces difficulties in life, but the important thing is to know how to face and overcome them. DJ also emphasizes that avoiding problems is not the solution and that she is always there to help her children.

Stephanie and her role as an aunt: While DJ is busy with work and taking care of the children, Stephanie takes on the role of a great aunt, trying to help her sister and nieces. Stephanie, who used to be a professional DJ, is trying to find a new purpose in life when she returns to her old home. She spends time with her nieces and nephews, especially Jackson, and tries to find ways to make him feel more comfortable.

Kimmy and her support: Kimmy, DJ’s best friend, also plays an important role in supporting the family. An energetic and optimistic character, Kimmy brings humor and helps balance the tense atmosphere in the house. She is always ready to help DJ and Stephanie with the children, and their friendship grows stronger as time goes by.

Max and Tommy: Max, DJ’s second son, is a smart and mature boy for his age. In this episode, Max also faces difficulties at school, but in a completely different way than Jackson. Max always tries to do well in everything and wants to be a good son. However, he still faces his own challenges, such as fitting in with his friends and feeling pressured by the perfection he wants to achieve.

Tommy, DJ’s youngest son, is too young to understand everything that is going on, but he brings joy and cuteness to everyone in the house. Tommy is a great source of motivation for DJ and his sisters to overcome the challenges in their daily lives.

At the end of the episode, after realizing that he needs to listen and understand his son better, DJ decides to spend more time talking to Jackson and help him feel more comfortable at school. Stephanie and Kimmy also promise to always be there to help DJ and the children. The episode ends with a touching scene of the entire family coming together, showing the bond and love between the members.

“The Not-So-Great Escape” is an episode that clearly shows the challenges and responsibilities of motherhood, especially in a large family. The episode also emphasizes the importance of friendship and family, as well as the need to listen and support each other during difficult times. With a mix of humorous situations and touching moments, this episode is a clear testament to the success of “Fuller House” from the original series “Full House.”
