Godfather cast reunite after 45 years and Talia Shire still looks INCREDIBLE

The first movie was released in 1972 and started one of the most legendary franchises in movie history.

To celebrate the 45th Anniversary, famous faces from the trilogy’s cast gathered together with director Francis Ford Coppola at the New York festival.
Of course, the legendary Marlon Brando was missing but the rest of the septugenarians were in remarkably fine form.

Age has not withered them and Keaton and Shire both looked beautiful at 71.
Shire famously played the unfortunate Connie Corleone, whose wedding was one of the central set pieces of the first movie.
The radiant actress looked thrilled to see her on-screen husband, Gianni Russo, once more at the New York reunion this week.

Despite the tragic reality of their abusive movie marriage, which caused huge tensions within the Corleone family, the pair were all smiles in front of the cameras.
The harrowing role won Shire a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for 1974’s Godfather Part II.

The sister of director Coppola, she also went on to even greater success in 1976’s Rocky as the boxer’s beloved Adrian.

The iconic role, perhaps most famous now for the way Sylvester Stallone bellows her name, led to a Best Actress nomination.

As well as the Rocky and Godfather sequels, Shire continued to act throughout the following decades.

Her most recent film, Dreamland, received its premiere at the Tibeca Film Festival last year and was directed by her youngest son, Robert Schwartzman.

Her eldest son Jason Schwartzman is also a well-regarded actor and screenwriter.
