Gordon Ramsay BurGR Welcomes New Executive Chef

Proving that hard work and talent pay off; Gordon Ramsay BurGR at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is proud to welcome Christina Wilson as its new Executive Chef.

A winner of season 10 of “Hell’s Kitchen,” Wilson earned a position working under Executive Chef Deric Meininger at celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s first restaurant in Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas. There, Wilson demonstrated her leadership skills, as well as fresh and innovative ideas for the critically acclaimed restaurant.

“Following my victory on ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and an incredible first year at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas, I am proud and excited to be taking on the position of Executive Chef at Gordon Ramsay BurGR at Planet Hollywood,” said Wilson. “This is another great opportunity for me to grow my career, as I will be one of three female executive chefs working in Chef Ramsay’s kitchens in the United States. Not only will this move give me experience running and managing an entire kitchen, it will also allow me to recruit and train young talent who are just starting out in the industry. I am very much looking forward to this new chapter and what it will bring.”

Originally from Phillipsburg, NJ, Wilson moved to Philadelphia to pursue her passion for cooking in 2004. She dove headfirst into an unpaid internship at Stella Blu in West Conshohocken, while working as a kitchen manager at Gypsy Saloon to help pay for her tuition at Temple University.

Her natural talent and passion helped Wilson rise to sous chef at Stella Blu within two years of preparing her first shift in the kitchen. After five years of these roles, she took the knowledge and experience she gained from her apprenticeship and moved to Center City, PA. to tackle her next position as sous chef at Lolita (Philly’s Top 10 Traditional Mexican Restaurants) in 2009.

Wilson quickly mastered both creative and kitchen management roles, rising to head chef at Lolita in less than a year. In 2011, her hunger for more knowledge and experience in a variety of form, she moved to Philadelphia’s Top 50 restaurant Mercato as executive chef. She created unique and trendsetting daily specials for the Italian restaurant along with launching its first lunch service in the spring.

The summer of 2012 brought Wilson the opportunity and experience of a lifetime with the debut of “Hell’s Kitchen” season 10, where she was a contestant. After countless competitions, grueling dinner services, and enormous challenges, Wilson made it through the competition without a hitch, never being nominated for elimination. After the best dinner service of her life on the finale, Wilson won, opening up a whole new world of opportunities for her. With her prize money, Wilson landed the prestigious executive chef position at Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse at Paris Las Vegas, where she excelled and helped elevate it to the Strip’s mainstay destination it is today.

After two years, Wilson joined Gordon Ramsay BurGR at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, steps from the Las Vegas Strip. BurGR is open for lunch and dinner starting at 11am daily.
