The Ramsay family could soon be expanding.
“Tana wants another kid,” Gordon Ramsay tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story.
Gordon, 56, and his wife Tana, 49, are already parents to daughter Megan, 25, twins Jack and Holly, 23, daughter Matilda (“Tilly”), 21, and son Oscar, 4.
“I’m going to school for sports day with a f**king walker!” Gordon says, laughing. “‘Hey, who’s your grandpa?’ ‘Actually, it’s your dad.’” So I’m not sure how many hip and knee replacements they’ll have by the time they’re 21, but I’m going to try.”

The Kitchen Nightmares star said Tana is looking to have another child not just because “it’s a fun thing to do,” but also because “she said she doesn’t want Oscar to grow up alone,” Gordon revealed.
“Alone? He goes to school every day, and he has four siblings! So, oh my gosh, watch that space. . . . I’m f**ked.” Tana told PEOPLE that she’s always wanted a big family. “I’m one of four, Gordon’s one of four, so it’s second nature to me,” she said.
Thankfully, her kids are “amazing,” she added. Gordon happily brags about his kids.
“Jack’s a Royal Marine commando, protecting the country in some of the harshest conditions,” he said. “Megan’s an incredible police officer. Holly’s gone into fashion. Tilly’s at university getting a degree. Tana and I come from a family with no education.” Related: Gordon Ramsay Says Son Rocky’s Death in 2016 Was “Really Hard” but “Brought Us a Bond” as a Family (Exclusive)
And their youngest, Oscar (born three years after Tana suffered a miscarriage at 20 weeks), is “a great kid,” Gordon says. “He’s only 4, but he’s grown up so fast with four older siblings.”
As his grown children — who share their dad’s passion for cycling, hiking, and swimming — have gotten older, Gordon has realized the importance of taking the time to listen.
“My job as a dad is to provide solutions to their problems. “That’s the most important role of a father,” he says. “But gosh, it’s hard to have five kids, five problems, 25 problems a week, a hundred problems a month — that’s a lot of solutions.” The kids aren’t afraid to tease him, either.
“If they want to tell me I’m wrong or they want to criticize a dish, I laugh,” he says. “Last week, Tilly was talking about one of the dishes, and I said, ‘Look, there’s caramelized garlic.’ And she stuck her fork in it and said, ‘Daddy, it’s burnt. Caramel isn’t black. Look it up in the dictionary.’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ So yeah… I love it when they challenge me.”
