Gordon Ramsay is known as a famous Scottish chef, restaurateur and television personality. Because of this, people call him the master of the kitchen.
Gordon Ramsay is known as one of the most famous chefs in Scotland. In addition, Gordon Ramsay is also a television star and the owner of a series of restaurants around the world. Out of a total of 15 Michelin stars, Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant has been awarded 14 stars.

1. The path to becoming a chef
Few people know that the famous chef used to be a football player. However, Gordon’s football career was not very good when he continuously suffered serious injuries. Finally, because he did not want to “lose his life when coming to football”, Gordon Ramsay decided to give up his career to become a football player. It was also during this time that his interest in cooking gradually formed.

At the age of 19, Gordon Ramsay devoted all his energy to learning and gaining experience in the culinary field, and decided to study at North Oxfordshire Technical College, majoring in Hotel Management. Since then, he has carried the dream of owning a famous restaurant chain with his own personal brand. After Ramsay became a head chef, he continuously received the first 2 Michelin stars for his career. In 1995, Ramsay won the Catey Award for “New Chef of the Year”. In 1998, he officially opened his first restaurant in Chelsea under the name Gordon Ramsay. Two years later, he received the 2nd Catey Award for “Chef of the Year”. In 2001, Ramsay excellently received the 3rd Michelin star and became the first Scot to receive this honor. In July 2006, Gordon Ramsay won the Catey Award for the third time as Independent Restaurateur of the Year and became the pride of Scotland.

2. The other path of the talented chef
Ramsay is always mentioned as a talented but extremely difficult chef. But few people know that he is also a writer, an actor and a dedicated judge of many reality TV shows.
Born and raised in a poor family with many children, experiencing an unhappy childhood with frequent abuse and neglect, Ramsay moved out of home and started an independent life at the age of 16. In his autobiography Humble Pie, he described his father as a womanizer and alcoholic. Readers will not have difficulty feeling all the hardships and bitterness that Gordon Ramsay experienced throughout his childhood.
