Gordon Ramsay’s Pub Taken Over by Brazen Squatters, Threatening to Sue If Evicted

At least six squatters have broken into Ramsay’s hotel and pub, boarded up windows and locked the doors

“Get lost!”

A group of “professional squatters” have taken over a London pub owned by celebrity chef Gordan Ramsay and are brazenly threatening to sue anyone who tries to evict them, according to a report.

At least six squatters have broken into Ramsay’s York and Albany hotel and pub, which is on the market for $16.1 million, boarded up windows, locked doors with kitchenware and glued down locks.

The chef is trying to seal the multimillion-dollar sale of the building, The Sun reported. Ramsay stars in the reality TV shows “Hell’s Kitchen,” “The American Dream,” and Next Level Chef on Fox.

Shocking pictures show the squatters holed up in the trendy pub, with one of them seen lying barefoot on a black leather sofa.

Another squatter in slippers was scrolling through his smartphone with a cigarette, empty water bottle and glass of wine on the floor around him. A blue sleeping bag was thrown on another sofa while a pair of crutches were also seen.

The squatters also posted a “legal warning” sign on the front door to defend their takeover and warn of any eviction attempts, The Sun reported.

The squatters said they had a right to be there, as it was not a residential building.

It is not a crime in the UK to occupy someone’s non-residential property without their permission, although police can take action if crime ensues, including vandalism or theft of property, according to Wales Online.

“Please note that we occupy this property and there is at least one occupant at all times,” the notice reads, according to The Sun.

“Any trespass or attempted trespass on this premises without our permission is an offence as any of us who are in physical possession are opposed to such trespass without our permission… if you attempt to enter by force or threat of force, we will prosecute you.”

The notice goes on to state that the offence could result in six months in jail and/or a fine of up to $6,200.

Fox News Digital reached out to Ramsay for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

“If you wish to evict us, you will need to file a writ of possession in the County Court or the Supreme Court,” the notice, signed by the “occupiers,” reads.

Ramsay, a world-famous chef with a fiery temper and a history of profanity-laced rages, called the police on Wednesday and is trying to secure an eviction notice, The Sun reports.

“This is an absolute nightmare scenario for poor Gordon,” a source told The Sun.

“The pub was temporarily closed while he finalised the new lease, and during this handover period a group of professional squatters somehow got past all the security measures and CCTV, and got in. They have now barricaded themselves in the building and are slowly taking over the place, littering the place and brazenly telling locals it is now their home.”

A shabby-looking squatter refused to be interviewed when confronted outside. He had two black eyes with a cut above one eye and was wearing a blue hoodie, knee braces and skates.

He then began filming and hid behind the building.

The building was purchased by film director Gary Love in 2017, who then leased the property to Ramsay for 25 years at an annual rent of $330,000.

Ramsay has also appeared on the Fox shows Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars and MasterChef.
