Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana welcomed their sixth child, a baby boy, in late 2023, but his adult children haven’t left the nest completely. Well, they did, only to return to the Ramsay home, People Magazine reports.
“They left home, and they’ve all come back,” Tana said of her older children, including 26-year-old Megan, 24-year-old twins Jack and Holly, and 22-year-old Matilda a.k.a. Tilly. “They moved out of our house three years ago to renovate,” Tana clarified.
According to the matriarch of the Ramsay family, Megan and Holly spent time living with friends while Jack was “away in the west country.” Tilly, however, has remained at home all this time alongside her younger siblings, Oscar and Jesse.
“By the time we finished the project and moved back in three weeks ago, everyone has a bedroom again,” she said on the podcast Postcards from Midlife. “They’ve all moved home. Holly lives in Nottingham, but she’s always coming back to London and obviously wants a bedroom with her boyfriend [swimmer Adam Peaty].”
Despite their bustling household of children, Tana says that her youngest has gotten good at “sleeping through noise.”
“Luckily when someone’s sneaking in at three in the morning [and] the dog is barking like crazy, doors are slamming, he sleeps,” she revealed. “They just have to revolve around him really.”
Cooking for their 20-something kids is a whole other story, though. “All the kids are quite demanding, but I love it,” Tana said, before adding that they’re “all so fussy.” Holly doesn’t eat dairy and Tilly’s off meat but will eat fish. “They never used to be like this, so the little ones are the easiest.”
And while you might think Gordon is the household chef, Tana is “always” manning the stove.
“Gordon eats anything. He’s so easy to cook for. He wants the plainest most simple home cooking,” she said. Gordon himself revealed his favorite dish that she cooks: “She makes this incredible bolognese sauce,” he said.
