Here’s When Jesse Spencer Will Return to Chicago Fire Season 12
We’ve said goodbye to many beloved characters on Chicago Fire, but few tug at the heartstrings like Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer).
From Seasons 1 through 10 of the show, Casey was a fan favorite. And when he got together with Firehouse 51 paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer), that was just icing on the cake. Their friendship soon blossomed into an explosive will-they-won’t-they romance that had viewers glued to the screen. However, before Brett and Casey could soar as a couple, personal matters led Casey to move to Portland in Season 10. Casey and Brett struggled to navigate their long-distance relationship, so they broke up. But just when we thought it was over for “Brettsey,” Casey made a triumphant Chicago Fire return in Season 11 to propose.
Brett said yes, of course. Who deserves a happily-ever-after more than these two? As Brett plans the big day, Chi-Hards are ecstatic about welcoming Spencer’s beloved character back into the fold, no matter how brief. Read on to learn the inside scoop about Spencer’s Season 12 return to Chicago Fire.
When will Jesse Spencer return to Chicago Fire Season 12?
Spencer will make an exciting Chicago Fire guest appearance in Season 12, Episode 6 (“Port in the Storm”), airing Wednesday, February 28, at 9/8c on NBC and next day on Peacock. Everyone is excited to see how Brett and Casey’s wedding unfolds. Naturally, Casey will be present and on our screens for the festivities.
The logline for the episode reads, “Firehouse 51 welcomes back some familiar faces and says goodbye to Brett; Violet scrambles to decorate Brett’s wedding venue; a call at the expo center takes a shocking turn.”
This One Chicago wedding comes with some bittersweet developments, though. After the wedding, Brett is leaving Chicago to join Casey in Portland to start their next chapter as parents and newlyweds. Brett is a new mom, and Casey is looking after Andy Darden’s two boys in Oregon, so their union couldn’t be more perfect. That said, it’s never easy to say goodbye to 51 fan favorites, especially Brett and Casey.
