Love Is Blind season 7 may have come to an end, but it’s clear that production interference played a major role in this season of the series, which has created a major disconnect for fans of the show. While Love Is Blind season 7 has been interesting from the viewer’s perspective, many have felt dissatisfied with the show throughout the season and after its conclusion. With a new group of singles coming into the pods, the beginning of Love Is Blind season 7 was exciting to watch, especially in the Washington, D.C. area, where dating can be a challenge.
As the singles began to grow closer in the pods, things became clear about who the participants were, what they wanted, and how they hoped to move forward after the experiment. Despite knowing that the pods were going to be just part of their experience on the show, the Love Is Blind season 7 cast seemed to put all of their effort into finding someone to move forward with, whether their connection felt strong and genuine or not. While the Love Is Blind season 7 pod squad was excited to move in the right direction, something felt off on screen.
The engaged couples of Love Is Blind season 7 struggled to keep themselves in their relationships as their time outside the pods showed them who their partners truly were. While some couples wound up breaking up, others felt like they needed to stay together to work through the challenges of the experiment, even if they weren’t going to get married. Throughout the season, it felt as though there was an element of production interference in several different areas, including the casting itself, but especially in the way the couples behaved. Love Is Blind season 7 became worse from production interference.
Shows like Love Is Blind don’t benefit from creating drama out of thin air or pushing cast members to behave poorly.
Ramses Prashad May Have Been A Love Is Blind Producer Plant
He Was Too Wishy-Washy With Marissa George
Although Ramses Prashad was excited by the opportunity to meet someone on Love Is Blind season 7, his personality struggled to translate on camera. Ramses was quick to connect with Marissa George during his time in the pods, but it quickly became clear that he wasn’t looking for anyone else once he settled on Marissa. Despite knowing that Marissa was connecting with others, Ramses felt strongly for his match in the pods and pushed her to choose him over her other deep connection, Bohdan Olinares. When Ramses proposed, he already knew that Marissa may not be his best fit.
While it’s possible Ramses was simply uncertain, he came off to me like a producer plant on the show. Giving wishy-washy non-committal answers to someone about something as serious as a long-term relationship is difficult in any situation, but doing so in a situation where you’re meant to marry the other party in a matter of weeks is cruel. Ramses was pushy, undecided, and selfish during his time on Love Is Blind season 7, which left me wondering if he allowed producers to influence his actions and made moves that were inherently more dramatic because of the possible producer interference.
Hannah Jiles’ Controversial Behavior Could’ve Been Pushed By Producers
She Was Exhausting To Nick Dorka
Another member of the Love Is Blind season 7 who has become a fixture for social media criticism is Hannah Jiles, who came into the series hopeful she’d find someone she could see her future with. While she spent her time in the pods struggling to decide if her connection with Nick Dorka or Leo Braudy was stronger, her insecurities seemed to be a driving force in her attitude toward everyone else on the series. Love Is Blind ’s Hannah was tough on the people she cared for, criticizing their motivations and energy despite having selfish motivations and confusing energy herself.
Although Hannah’s energy seemed to change a bit when she finally met her Love Is Blind fiance Nick outside of the pods, things got worse as time went on. Hannah’s negative behavior toward Nick was difficult for viewers to watch, and I found her constant belittling of him leaving me rooting for their breakup rather than their marriage. Hannah’s personality may be tough, but it seems likely that she was made to be a bit more unlikable because of producer influence rather than it being natural. Hannah’s complaints and criticisms may have been something producers pushed to create more drama.
Leo Braudy & Brittany Wisniewski Were Removed From The Show
Their Relationship Didn’t Play Out Due To Production Interference
While Leo and Hannah’s relationship was something featured heavily during the pod phase of Love Is Blind season 7, their time together wasn’t what he left the pods with. Instead, Leo the infamous art dealer proposed to Brittany Wisniewski after a strange back-and-forth relationship that both didn’t necessarily see going the distance. While Leo and Brittany were able to connect during their time in the pods, it wasn’t something that either of them seemed entirely invested in after it became clear that Hannah and Leo had a connection. Despite the disconnect, Leo proposed to Brittany with a strange, intense speech.
Although Brittany accepted, it seemed tentative in the pods and when the pair met face-to-face, it was difficult for either of them to get excited. While many were hopeful to see Leo and Brittany through the rest of the season, they were mysteriously missing from the Love Is Blind season 7 post-pods vacation. The pair had broken off their Love Is Blind engagement, but the series didn’t manage to catch it on camera or push them to talk for the benefit of the viewers. While production pushed others, they chose to interfere by withholding the stories of Leo and Brittany.
Is Production Interference Ruining Love Is Blind?
It’s Not Making The Show Any Better
Although Love Is Blind season 7 had some moments of genuine interest, many found the season tough to swallow. With couples who weren’t necessarily interested in each other or telling the truth about their relationships, the season felt overproduced from the very beginning, and the interference of producers could be impacting the series as a whole. Though I think most reality TV series require production interference to run smoothly, shows like Love Is Blind don’t benefit from creating drama out of thin air or pushing cast members to behave poorly. Focusing on the genuine story would better serve the show.
