Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has five children with wife Tana, an author – including Strictly star Tilly and podcast host Holly

Today is Gordon Ramsay’s birthday, as the celebrity chef and TV presenter turns 55.

He’ll likely be celebrating with his wife, cookbook author Tana Ramsay, and their five children, including Tilly Ramsay – who also celebrates her birthday today, turning 20.

The Ramsay family have appeared on Gordon’s various TV shows and YouTube channel, and are often seen supporting each other on social media in their endeavours.

However, Gordon has previously revealed that he won’t be leaving his children a large inheritance and will instead give them a deposit on a flat.

Eldest child Megan graduated from Oxford Brookes University and tends to stay out of the spotlight. The 23-year-old is believed to be an account executive for communications firm Freuds.

After her mother suffered a miscarriage in her fifth month of pregnancy in 2016, she completed the London Marathon in memory of her younger brother Rocky the following year. She organised the event to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

And in a post celebrating her birthday earlier this year, Gordon described Megan as a “beautiful gem”. He also paid tribute to his eldest child, writing: “You have become the most amazing young lady”.

Holly has tried to forge her own path, launching a new podcast earlier this year focused on wellbeing. The podcast is called 21 & Over with Holly Ramsay and aims to help “continue to break down the stigma around our mental health”.

The podcast, which has so far featured guests including former X Factor contestant Ella Henderson, appears to have impressed dad Gordon. When it launched in the summer, he said he was “so proud” of his daughter and her podcast.

And in a post celebrating Holly and her twin brother Jack’s 21st birthday last year, their dad wrote: “Proud of your passion and respect for others. We’ll be celebrating this milestone in the summer.”

Holly’s fraternal twin Jack is Gordon’s eldest son. He hasn’t been in the spotlight as much as some of his siblings, with the 21-year-old joining the Royal Marines last year – making his family proud in the process.

That includes his twin brother, who said: “Couldn’t be more proud of my wombmate, best friend and role model.”

Their father also proudly announced the news on social media.

Gordon commented: “I can’t tell you how proud I am of this young man Jack Ramsay. You have made me feel like the proudest dad I have ever been today.”
Youngest daughter Matilda – known as Tilly – has been following in her father’s footsteps for many years. The 20-year-old social media influencer has been hosting CBBC’s cooking show Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch since 2015.

More recently, she joined the cast of the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing – partnering Nikita Kuzmin. Gordon has praised his daughter for her journey so far, describing her as “hardworking and very professional”.

And to mark their birthdays, her father wrote today: “I can’t think of a better person to share my birthday with than this lovely, charming young lady @tillyramsay who always puts others before herself and you have growing up to be a great role model.”
Oscar was born in 2019, and Gordon has previously said he wants to be around him more – as he was often busy when his other children were younger. “I believe I will spend more time with Oscar,” he said.

His “hands-on” approach is evident on his Instagram, where Oscar’s childhood moments are regularly featured. These include him being taught to swim by his dad and being dropped off at school.

Sharing a photo of him walking Oscar down the hallway, Gordon wrote last month: “It’s so cool when you can take your little boy to school and hold hands like best friends.”
