Jason Momoa has revealed that he and Lisa Bonet are “still family,” six weeks after they announced their 16-year romance had come to an end.

In a since-deleted post shared on Instagram in January, Aquaman actor Momoa, 42, and Angel Heart star Bonet, 54, announced in a joint statement that they were “parting ways in marriage,” four years after exchanging nuptials.
Showing there’s no bad blood, Momoa supported Zoë Kravitz—Bonet’s 33-year-old daughter from her marriage to Lenny Kravitz—at the New York City premiere of her movie The Batman, as he revealed that his estranged wife was unable to attend.
The actor, who attended the event with his and Bonet’s children—daughter Lola, 14, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 13—told Entertainment Tonight: “We’re just so proud. Lisa couldn’t be here so we’re representing, me and the babies. We’re very excited to just be here.”

When Momoa’s interviewer, Rachel Smith, pointed out that his support is “ongoing,” despite his separation from Bonet, he said: “It’s still family, you know?”

On January 12, Momoa shocked fans when he posted a statement on his Instagram account announcing the end of his marriage to Bonet.
“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times,” the statement began. “A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so~ We share our Family news~That we are parting ways in marriage.”
“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy ~ But so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become…”
The statement concluded: “Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our Children. Teaching our Children What’s possible ~ Living the Prayer May Love Prevail ✨ J & L.”

Further proof of Momoa’s continued devotion to the family was shown on Monday, when he shared a photo of himself posing with Channing Tatum ahead of watching Zoë Kravitz play Catwoman in The Batman. Tatum is reportedly dating Zoë Kravitz.
