The Grand Tour’s Jeremy Clarkson was left red-faced when his farm co-star Kaleb Cooper branded him an “idiot” for buying a Lamborghini tractor.
Kaleb Cooper, known for his love of tractors, has humorously criticised Jeremy Clarkson’s flashy Lamborghini purchase, despite owning the same model himself.
The 26 year old farmer, who owns seven tractors, revealed in his book ‘It’s A Farming Thing’: “I’ve got a tractor from every major grand in the fleet (I love saying that word: my fleet of tractors).
“I’ve even got an old Lamborghini, which I used when I was just starting out with my business, and which I don’t tell anyone about because I slagged off Jeremy’s Lamborghini.”
He cheekily added, “I mean what kind of idiot would buy a Lamborghini tractor just because the name sounds flash? Ahem. But at least I’ve got the excuse that I was only fifteen years old.”
In 2020, Jeremy purchased a used Lamborghini Trattori R8 270 DCR, described by the manufacturer as ‘Total domination with class’.
However, he confessed in his Sunday Times column that he struggled with the vehicle’s 48 gears and 188 buttons.
Viewers of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ witnessed Jeremy’s struggles with his new tractor, including an incident where he destroyed a five-bar gate on the farm, earning him the nickname ‘The Wolf of Chipping Norton’, a nod to Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in ‘The Wolf Of Wall Street’.
Kaleb Cooper didn’t hold back on his thoughts about Jeremy’s new tractor during a chat on This Morning, where he exclaimed: “It’s the worst tractor you could have, I’ve got an old Lamborghini but that is something else.”
He continued to express his disdain for the vehicle saying, “It’s in the shed now where it should stay and rot if I’m honest with you.”
Kaleb also had much to say about the number of things he disliked. “There’s a list of things I hate about it and the list would be three bits of paper.”
The farming expert pinpointed Jeremy’s “biggest mistake” as overlooking the key element of proper planning on the farm adding, “He just thought, ‘The bigger the better’. That tractor is s**t, I hate it so much.
“There is no one that is going to turn around and say that tractor’s good,” before concluding, “So the very early mistakes were the planning of the stuff, the buying of the kit etc because without the kit you can’t farm.”
