Justin Hartley is on the hunt in CBS’ new drama ‘Tracker’: Watch the first trailer
The upcoming drama was previously titled ‘The Never Game.’
Justin Hartley is on the hunt.
The 46-year-old actor will star in CBS’ upcoming drama, Tracker (formerly The Never Game), which will premiere during the 2023-24 broadcast season. A 10-second promo was released on Wednesday, introducing Hartley’s first series regular role since This Is Us.
Based on the best-selling novel by Jeffery Deaver, Tracker focuses on Colter Shaw (Hartley), a lone survivor who roams the country as a “bounty seeker,” using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all sorts of mysteries while struggling with his own broken family.
The brief but intriguing trailer shows Colter looking around his bedroom for clues and coming across a photo of a young boy with what appears to be his father.
“I’m gonna save you,” the silent promo reads. Watch the trailer for Tracker below.
Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, and Fiona Rene also star in the series.
Hartley serves as an executive producer alongside This Is Us director and producer Ken Olin, as well as Ben H. Winters and Hilary Weisman Graham. Olin directed the first episode from a script by Winters.
Tracker has been in production at CBS since 2021. In September of that year, just as production began on the final season of This Is Us, it was announced that Hartley had signed on to star and produce the project.
“I couldn’t be more excited that The Never Game is coming to CBS and that Colter Shaw will soon be brought to the screen,” Hartley said in a statement at the time. “When I read the book, I was immediately drawn to the character and story; developing this project with Ken has truly been a labor of love. Colter is going to kick some serious ass, and I can’t wait for audiences to meet him.”
