Tracker’s Justin Hartley says he has finally found ‘peace’ and wants to leave the on-screen ‘drama’ behind
The 47-year-old actor stars in the new CBS action show Tracker, where he plays a bounty hunter who meets private investigator Colter Shaw. The new series premieres after the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, and Hartley told PEOPLE he couldn’t be happier with the way things are going in his life.
“It took me a long time to get here, and I’m surrounded by only the most amazing people. [I’m] completely at peace, and my daughter is doing great, she’s amazing,” he said, referring to his daughter Isabella, 19, whom he shares with ex-wife Lindsay Korman. “Everyone seems healthy and happy, there’s no drama, there’s no stress,” he added. “I don’t like drama out there. I like drama on screen!”
In contrast to his own life, where he’s surrounded by people he loves, Hartley’s character on Tracker is a lone wolf — something Hartley says he appreciates.
“I think the fact that Colter doesn’t have a girlfriend is one of the things I wanted to keep,” said the actor, who also serves as an executive producer on the show. “I feel like if he has a wife and a girlfriend and a family, and he’s doing all these dangerous things, it’s selfish.”
However, Shaw’s single nature hasn’t stopped Hartley from trying to get his wife, Sofia Pernas, on board the show — and PEOPLE has a first look.
In one of the upcoming episodes, Pernas will play a bounty hunter named Billie, who is her husband’s character’s nemesis, according to CBS.

In real life, the couple, who married in 2021, couldn’t be more in love.
“I just love looking at her. We talk about everything. We talk about what’s going on in the world. We talk about politics, we talk about family, friends. We love the Dodgers — I got her to love the Dodgers!” Hartley says with a laugh.
The couple first met as co-stars on The Young and the Restless after Pernas joined the soap in 2015, so working together became second nature. Hartley admits the two “do everything together.”
“We’re home a lot. We love our home,” he says of enjoying quiet nights at home. “We’re home and hanging out and looking at each other like a couple of goofballs. It’s great.”
