Lisa Bonet has spoken about Bill Cosby’s ‘sinister energy’ while working together on The Cosby Show

LISA Bonet has spoken about her TV dad Bill Cosby for the first time since charges were laid against him, saying she sensed a “shadow” from him when working together on The Cosby Show.

In a new interview with Porter Edit, Bonet said she had no knowledge at the time of the sexual assaults Cosby is accused of but she felt something was not right.

Bonet played Denise Huxtable on and off from 1984-1991.
“There was no knowledge on my part about specific actions, but … There was just energy. And that type of sinister, shadow energy cannot be concealed,” she said. “If I had anything more to reveal then it would have happened a long time ago. That’s my nature. The truth will set you free.’
As Cosby gears up for a retrial in his sexual assault case, Bonet says she has little sympathy for him.

“I don’t need to say ‘I told you so’ (about Bill Cosby). I just leave all that to karma and justice and what will be,” she said.
Bonet is one of the only cast member of The Cosby Show to speak ill of the show’s main star.

His TV wife Phylicia Rashad has defended her long-time friend, saying in 2015 that she still loves him and that she thinks the accusations against him are an orchestrated destruction of his legacy.
His youngest TV daughter, Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played Rudy, attended court with him in Pennsylvania in a show of support and later said he was innocent until proven guilty.
“That’s just not the man that I ever experienced,” she said about sexual assault allegations levelled against the star.

Bonet and Cosby reportedly had a difficult working relationship and he fired her at the end of the first season of the show when she came to him and told him she was pregnant and wed to rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Debbie Allen, the director of A Different World and the sister of Phylicia Rashad says Bonet came to her and revealed her pregnancy and her fears of telling Cosby.

So Allen says they told him together and while initially keen to work around the baby bump but then he changed his mind.
